Who ya gonna call? The Altoona Police Department! I guess that doesn’t have the same ring as Ghost Busters, but that’s how the story goes. There was a threat of a school shooting at a Pennsylvania high school recently and after a thorough investigation, the cops determined that that the threat was issued by a spirit from beyond the grave. The good news is, the date of the supposed shooting came and went and no one was shot or slimed.
WJAC reports that a student at the Altoona Area High School (yes, that’s the real name of the school) reported to school administrators that a school shooting was imminent.
According to the Altoona Area School District, a student reported the threat to Altoona Area High School administrators last week, claiming that a shooting would take place on Sept. 26.
AASD Police Services Department and the AAHS administration conducted a full investigation, including interviews with students and parents.
And the conclusion of the investigation was…
The district later learned that the reported threat came from students playing with a Ouija board over the summer.
With the understatement of the week:
District officials say there is no evidence supporting a credible threat.
If it sounds crazy that the school district and police investigated a school shooting threat that came from a spirit communicating to students through a Ouija board, it is, but there actually may be something to this. I found another story from Altoona in which students claimed a boy with a gun threatened them inside the classroom but the school district claims it was a figment of their imagination.
Check out this The Altoona Mirror story from over the summer:
The student who came forward said they were standing by the mountain lion statue before summer school on June 22, when a male student walked up to the witness and their friends and showed them a semiautomatic handgun.
The juvenile pulled out the gun’s clip, which was loaded, and told them that “he had a bullet for each while showing them the bullets,”
The student witness…said they watched the juvenile with the gun go into the school and a few hours later, prior to the start of a math class, the boy with the gun walked into the classroom.
The student witness said the boy again pulled out the gun and said he had bullets for the witness student’s head…
No teacher was in the room at the time, and because the class was in the basement, there was no cellphone service.
Though this kid with a gun was witnessed by dozens of students and maybe even a teacher, Altoona Area School District Superintendent Charles Prijatelj said it “never happened.”
“As far as we know, that incident never occurred on our school grounds,” said Prijatelj.
If it never happened, the only other explanation is that it was a ghost. Clearly the Altoona Area School District has a problem with armed ghosts.
A “ghost gun” is a homemade firearm with no serial numbers that make it untraceable. Liberal politicians think these things sound scary and have introduced laws to ban them. Here however we have ghosts with guns which sounds a lot scarier so I think we can expect some brave democrat to present a bill that would deny otherworldly spirits gun ownership rights. Hey, if it stops just one ghost school shooting, it’s worth it.
