Someone sent a bunch of fake bombs to top democrats this week including Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden. The perpetrator is almost certainly a left-wing lunatic trying to draw attention away from the democrats’ violent rhetoric and actions leading up to the midterm elections, but the liberal media has settled in on a fact-free narrative that it’s a Trump supporter behind this farce. Most liberals are blaming President Trump for this faux attack on democrats but one gun control group has taken a step further by accusing the NRA. How? Why? What? I told you, this is a gun control group and all they know is blaming the NRA, it doesn’t have to make sense.
The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence (CSGV) isn’t as well known as Moms Demand Action, Giffords, or The Brady Campaign, but they are no less insane. Included with a series of tweets regarding the fake bomb packages sent to democrats, was this ridiculous accusation:

As you can see the CSGV is placing all blame for the bomb package hoax on the NRA, saying they are using violence, and bombs, to impact political discourse. This may be the single dumbest thing liberals have ever had to say about the NRA.
First off, have these gun grabbers ever been to a gun show? I have, and I’ve never encountered anyone selling bomb making kits. This would be something that is highly illegal to sell and gun dealers tend to be extra-cautious when it comes to the law. The feds will pull an FFL for the slightest infraction and no gun dealer in his right mind would risk that to sell something that could get them thrown in prison.
The second thing is, the NRA doesn’t sell anything, not guns and not bomb kits, at gun shows or anywhere else. For some reason, liberals think the NRA is either a gun manufacturer or gun dealer. They are neither. They are the country’s oldest civil rights organization which protects our 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms. They absolutely do not sell firearms and they sure as shit don’t sell bomb making kits.
But hey, you know who does sell bomb kits and provide bomb-making plans? Leftists, anarchists, socialists, commies, and fascists. You know, those same kind of people who form organizations that try to strip people of their Constitutional rights.
Along those same lines, the NRA doesn’t fight of or support the right to keep and bear bombs. The CSGV claims that the NRA is “more than guns” implying they are all about protecting people’s bomb rights. I would like for these gun control nutjobs to provide some evidence of this BS claim, because it’s simply not true.
A third solid point is the fact that these “bombs” delivered to democrats where not actual explosive devices. They were bad attempts at making something that looked like a bomb, but in no way were they viable explosives. Just for argument’s sake let’s say the NRA did sell bomb making kits and these were available at gun shows, the person who sent suspicious packages to democrats didn’t make real bombs. Whoever this person is did not buy a bomb making kit and then make real bombs.
Gun control groups try to portray the NRA as a terrorist organization, saying they sell guns to mass shooters and kill children. Now they want to blame the NRA for a left-wing bombing plot. The NRA hasn’t sold one single gun to anyone, let alone bomb making kits, and hasn’t killed a soul. A real terrorist organization would be one that seeks to disarm people, rendering them utterly helpless against violent criminals and a tyrannical government. Can you think of anyone groups which fit that description?
