Gays Against Guns Dress Like Beekeepers To Protest 2nd Amendment

Protesting is completely pointless and never affects change, but at the very least, you would hope that people would understand what the hell you are bitching about. Recently grumpy old man Neil Young released and anti-gun protest video that was so ambiguous he had to make a website to explain it and it still wasn’t all that clear. Gun control group Gays Against Guns saw Neil Young’s confusing protest and raised him one by taking to the streets of NYC dressed as beekeepers. This was apparently an anti-gun protest, but we’ll just have to take their word for it.

The NY Daily News reports that Gays Against Guns launched a protest in Times Square on Sunday in reaction to the mass shooting in Thousand Oaks, CA. As you can see in the picture, these gay anti-gunners are dressed as beekeepers. One of them went with a little flair and sequined the hell out of the outfit, but the overall vibe is definitely beekeeper. What the hell do beekeepers have to do with gun control? You’d have to ask the Gays Against Guns because the news was no help in explaining this.

Residents of grieving Thousand Oaks, Calif., joined New Yorkers on Sunday to recreate the aftermath of last week’s mass shooting by laying motionless in Times Square in a “die-in” to protest gun violence.

“This is what people in Parkland had to walk through. This is what people in Thousand Oaks had to walk through,” a Gays Against Guns organizer chanted as 50 demonstrators lay supine under a rainbow flag on Broadway near W. 43rd St.

17 students and staff were killed in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting. 12 people were killed in the Borderline Bar & Grill shooting. That’s a total of 29 victims, not 50. I’ve not seen any crime scene photos from the shootings, but I am confident that no one walked through 50 dead beekeepers at either location. Also, it’s highly unlikely there was a rainbow flag at a country bar.

Another 50 protesters gathered around the stretched-out participants, chanting “thoughts and prayers are not enough, gun control now.”

They are aware that the Thousand Oaks shooting occurred in California, right? California has more gun control than bees and gays combined.

In addition to sucking at protesting, the Gays Against Guns are also really bad at math:

“It keeps ramping up. We’re at a point where out of the 312 days of the year, we’re now at 304 mass shootings,” said organizer Jay W. Walker.

Actually there have been 5 mass shootings in 2018, but this guy was so close. The Gun Violence Archive lists over 300 mass shooting this year, but almost none of them qualify as a true mass shooting event with 3 or more fatalities. In fact the GVA list of mass shootings is made up almost entirely of shootings with 0 fatalities.

Don’t take my word for it. According to the NY Daily News, Gays Against Guns launches one of these confusing protests every time there is a mass shooting. Have they done this 304 times this year? I doubt it.

For some reason I found this to be the funniest thing about this:

The Gays Against Guns protest was slated for Thursday, but postponed when 1,000 marchers took to Times Square in an unrelated demonstration to voice support for special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of the President to move forward despite the forced resignation of Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

There are so many liberal lunatics in NYC that they have to wait in line to act like idiots in public. Don’t these people have jobs? NYC is very expensive, how do they afford to live there?

In all of the rush, Gay Against Guns never got around to expressing the purpose of their protest or explaining its implementation , but I guess dressing up in costumes was really the most important part about this. Rumor has it they are going to protest global warming next week by dressing up like sexy Canadian Mounties.
