Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer have shutdown the government because they refuse to fund President Trump’s request for a wall along the US/Mexico border. Despite the overall appearance that the democratic leadership favors illegal immigrants over the safety of Americans, Pelosi insists that border security is important to her party. To prove it, she has offered a counterproposal to Trump’s wall that includes improving the roads at the border to facilitate migration. What? Yeah, Pelosi is arguing that making it easier to get into the US will stop the flow of illegal immigration.
In her weekly press conference, Pelosi laid out the dems’ counter-offer to Trump’s wall:
“What we are proposing is to build the infrastructure of the ports of entry. Strengthen that, the ports of entry. Spend the money, it’s hundreds of millions of dollars but accessible to have a scanning technology to scan cars coming through for drugs contrabond (yes, she said contrabond) of any kind, weapons even,” said Pelosi.
You may have noticed that so far this plan doesn’t address the people who simply walk across our unprotected border, but Pelosi was just warming up. Get ready for this:
“Repair the roads to facilitate immigration and trade in those regions,” she said.
Really? The democrats’ plan to stop illegal immigration is to build nicer roads to make it easier to get into this country? That’s literally the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard on the subject and Pelosi once said we could stop illegal immigration by mowing the lawn along the border.
This is like saying we can stop bank robberies by taking the money out of the vaults and storing it in plastic bins in the lobby. Well, it’s like that only dumber. It’s pretty sad that Pelosi needs an explanation on how walls stop people, but roads don’t.
Continuing the idiocy, in a meeting with President Trump yesterday about the border wall, Pelosi said she opposes it because it doesn’t stop people from tunneling under:

But building super-highways into the country will keep people out? This woman is out of her f*cking mind. Actually, come to think of it, a wall doesn’t stop human cannonballs from being shot over it, so maybe she’s on to something. Nah, she’s crazy as hell and this argument is ridiculous.
Walls work to keep people out, which is why Pelosi has one around her mansion. To protect herself and her family, she didn’t put in a people-mover to easily transport criminals into her house, she has walls, fences, and locks. Why should our country be any different?
Not that they’ve kept it a secret, but this proposal from Pelosi is a reminder that democrats are not serious people. It’s also more proof that they put foreign criminals above the American people they are supposed to represent.
I would suggest that all of the Botox has finally seeped into Pelosi’s brain, but there is a method to her madness. Democrats don’t want to do anything to stop the flow of illegal immigration into this country because they rely on these scumbags to keep them in power. Illegal immigrants equals votes for the Democratic Party and they aren’t about to stop that.
