Gun violence is inextricably linked to masculinity by the liberal media. And as they spin it, that masculinity is of the toxic variety. Therefore any self-respecting feminist should not be in possession of a firearm. But 30 year old feminist Charles Landeros apparently didn’t get the memo because well, he was carrying a concealed weapon on January 11 in Eugene, Oregon. He was also wearing a t-shirt that read, “Smash the Patriarchy and Chill.” Then this contradictory social justice warrior made the fateful mistake of using said weapon to fire on police officers, and the “patriarchy” smashed back.
Police bodycam video released showing fatal shooting of parent at Oregon school
Police bodycam video shows the moments right before an Oregon officer fatally shoots the parent of a student outside of a middle school following a confrontation.
The fatal shooting happened Jan. 11 at Cascade Middle School in Eugene, following a custodial dispute involving 30-year-old Charles Landeros. The video was released Thursday after the Lane County district attorney ruled that the officer’s use of deadly force was justified.
I’m no expert, but when a thug is resisting arrest and you see this . . .
. . . I’m pretty certain that justifies shooting him.
The incident began when Landeros’ ex-wife went to the school after learning that Landeros had enrolled their child into the middle school without her permission, the DA’s office said in a press release.
The school told Landeros — an Army veteran who served from 2006 to 2012 and was honorably discharged — to come to the school, and also called the school resource officer Steve Timm.
Landeros served as “a helicopter mechanic and crew chief, deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan, according to Landeros’ ex-wife and a close friend.” Normally veterans are worthy of our utmost respect but as in any group of people, there are always a few bad apples. And just how rotten was this particular apple?
The Register Guard states, “Last year, the FBI received information on a tip line that Landeros was posting violent anti-government messages on social media, Perlow said. The tip was referred to the local FBI office, which concluded there wasn’t enough information to show a crime had been committed, she said.”
Way to go, FBI! You missed another opportunity to prevent a tragedy. And then there’s this . . .
“On Jan. 11, the Springfield Police Department linked on its Facebook page a story about a police officer in California who was shot and killed while investigating a traffic crash.
About an hour before the shooting, Perlow said, someone tipped the police department that a Facebook account with the name “Charlie Landeros” had commented “Death to all pigs” in a comment section of the post. The police department’s social media manager attempted to locate the comment but both it and the “Charlie Landeros” Facebook account had been deactivated or deleted.”
And this . . .
“Two days earlier, SPD was alerted that a Facebook account with the name “Charlie Landeros” left a similar comment on a different story involving Portland police, Perlow said.”
When Timm learned that “there was a custody dispute occurring,” he called Eugene Police Officer Aaron Johns for assistance, according to the release.
The video shows the two officers in the school’s hallway ordering Landeros to leave the building.
“The police do not have jurisdiction over here. The principal has not asked me to leave,” Landeros says, before appearing to walk away from the officers.
As the officers were trying to get Landeros to leave the building, the child walked into the hallway. Landeros started yelling at the child to “go,” according to the DA’s office.
The video shows one of the officers grabbing and pushing Landeros out a door. Police then announce they’re arresting Landeros.
During a struggle, Landeros pulled out a handgun and fired two shots at Timm, the DA’s office said. Timm, who was not wounded, returned fire, striking Landeros in the head.
Let’s have a look at the video.
Authorities said students were in the hallway and in a nearby classroom during the altercation. Two people at the school, as well as Landeros’ child, witnessed the shooting, the DA’s office said.
That’s truly unfortunate, but it was Landeros’ fault that his child had to watch him die.
An investigation following the shooting found that Landeros was carrying an extra magazine with ammunition on Landeros’ belt and another in the car, authorities said. Landeros was also wearing a backpack which contained additional ammunition, authorities said.
“Officer Timm saved the life of Officer Johns, himself and perhaps many others,” the DA’s office ruled. “There is no clearer circumstance that the use of deadly force is justified than this.”
And finally, here’s this disquieting tidbit, “Landeros started a group, Community Armed Self-Defense, that provided firearms training, particularly for people of color and the LGBTQ community. Landeros was one of the instructors.” Let’s hope he preach what he practiced in his training sessions because who knows how many unhinged Landeros disciples are running around out there.
