TOUCHDOWN! Building With Huge Mural Of Kaepernick Demolished Before Super Bowl

It’s going to be hard to top this feel-good story on Super Bowl Sunday…

Social justice warriors and their communist allies are outraged that a building bearing a large mural of self-anointed race messiah Colin Kaepernick has been demolished only days before the Super Bowl.

The building which was in the Atlanta area where the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams will battle for the Vince Lombardi Trophy later today had paintings of both Kaepernick as well as King T’Challa from the Marvel Comics blockbuster ode to black separatism “Black Panther” and its depiction of the fictitious African utopia of Wakanda.

The mural which was on the side of an abandoned building not far from the swanky $1.5 billion Mercedes Benz Stadium is no more after construction crews tore down the eyesore.

As is so typical of the TDS-afflicted left, some – including the mural’s artist – are raving that the timing of the demolition is more proof of the vast white supremacist conspiracy that is keeping Kaepernick down.

As the shadow of Colin Kaepernick looms over the NFL, it comes as no surprise that in the days leading up to Super Bowl LIII, an iconic mural bearing his likeness is no more.

The mural, which was painted on an abandoned building in Atlanta across from celebrated HBCU Morehouse College, was demolished on Friday just as hundreds of thousands of sports fanatics poured into the city to partake in Super Bowl weekend.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, artist Fabian Williams decided to paint the mural—which depicts the former 49ers quarterback in an Atlanta Falcons jersey—to provide Kaepernick a home. Something the NFL has thus far refused to do.

“I thought Atlanta, because of our civil rights history, would be a perfect place for him,” Williams said.

But if the building was the perfect place for him, why was the mural torn down?

“I just happened to be driving by when they were doing it and it took a minute for me to mentally recognize that it was happening,” Williams said. “Symbols matter man. You destroyed the whole building it was on? If I were an interpreter of performance art, what message would you take from that?”

Considering the amount of pressure that the left is bringing down on Maroon 5 to take a knee for Kaepernick during the halftime show, it is pure irony that the mural crumbled much as their hero’s team did during the 49ers 2013 Super Bowl loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
