Would-Be Murderer Foiled by Grandpa With Gun

All the mainstream media ever shows us about the use of firearms is meant to portray them as evil weapons that only homicidal villains own and use for their own nefarious purposes. Rarely do we ever hear about legal gun owners using their firearms in self-defense. This video shows the aftermath of what happens when a citizen exercises his right to keep and bear arms and to defend himself with said weapons. Despite liberal claims that owning firearms actually increases your odds of death (I guess that means that pretty much all of us on this site have been cheating the reaper for a long time), and despite the media’s best efforts to suppress them, there are countless stories like this one that prove otherwise.

Bodycam: Man shot in chest after barging into Tuttle home to kill grandfather

TUTTLE, Okla. —

The Tuttle Police Department on Monday released body camera video of the moments when officers responded to a reported shooting Sunday morning.

An officer found a man lying on a living room floor, curled over with a gunshot wound to his chest. After finding the wound, the officer applied pressure to it with a towel until paramedics arrived.

The man, identified as Corey Williams, was taken to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City in critical condition.

Police learned that around 8:45 a.m. Sunday, Williams drove up to a home on Star Drive near Sky Lane and barged in when the homeowner opened the door. The homeowner, who is Williams’ estranged grandfather, grabbed a pistol and opened fire, hitting Williams in the chest.

Although Williams didn’t die, maybe he thought he was about to expire and decided to confess his sins because while lying on the floor with a new airway in his chest, he admitted he was at the residence with the intentions of killing his grandfather. So there’s no reason to use to use that word I despise so much, “allegedly,” here. He wanted to murder the old man. That was his intent.

Williams had told the officer he went to the house to kill his grandfather. The grandfather reported that his grandson said during the break-in that he planned on killing him.

During the break-in, the grandfather reported that his grandson said he planned on killing him.

“He did admit he was there for that purpose, and the gentleman did what he had to do to protect himself,” said Detective Shana Berryhill, with the Tuttle Police Department.

The homeowner said he didn’t recognize Williams at first.

“He said that he did not recognize him (Williams) at first,” Berryhill said. “I don’t know when he did recognize him, but he said he later realized it was his grandson, whom he hadn’t seen in several years.”

At this point of the investigation, police do not plan on charging the homeowner, saying he was acting in self-defense.

“He seemed upset that it was his grandson,” Berryhill said. “And, while they weren’t really close, it’s still an upsetting thing knowing you shot a human being, let alone a member of your family.”

An estranged family member that was trying to kill him? Personally, I’m not sure that I’d be all that upset about it if I was in his shoes. I mean a killer is a killer. I can’t say for certain because fortunately my family tree contains no murderers. But be that as it may, it’s better to feel a little upset than to feel like a corpse. Well done, grandpa.
