Abusive Dem Amy Klobuchar Ate Salad With Her Comb, Made Staffer Clean It

She has zero chance of winning the nomination in America’s crazy party but Amy Klobuchar is one of the least whacko candidates in the upcoming Democrat battle royale to see who emerges as the challenger to President Trump in next year’s election.

The Minnesotan was widely mocked for launching her campaign during a blizzard earlier this month in a surreal scene reminiscent of the inside of a snow globe made all the more bizarre because of her ravings about global warming.

It is going to be a titanic struggle for the 58-year-old contestant who is pretty much running for vice president and hoping that a white guy can overcome the odds and a media that has already crowned identity politics queen Kamala Harris.

Senator Klobuchar also has no national name recognition although she has been in the news lately but for all the wrong reasons. According to multiple accounts from her own subordinates, she is quite the bully and ran her operation with an iron fist which traumatized many of her staffers who have since taken their horror stories to the media.

The latest?

In a Friday piece by the New York Times, a harrowing account of Klobuchar’s domineering personality was detailed in which during an airplane ride, her staffer dropped the ball on ordering the plastic eating utensils forcing the temperamental senator to eat her salad with her own comb and then bullying the staffer into cleaning it off.

According to the NYT expose “How Amy Klobuchar Treats Her Staff”:

Senator Amy Klobuchar was hungry, forkless and losing patience.

An aide, joining her on a trip to South Carolina in 2008, had procured a salad for his boss while hauling their bags through an airport terminal. But once onboard, he delivered the grim news: He had fumbled the plastic eating utensils before reaching the gate, and the crew did not have any forks on such a short flight.

What happened next was typical: Ms. Klobuchar berated her aide instantly for the slip-up. What happened after that was not: She pulled a comb from her bag and began eating the salad with it, according to four people familiar with the episode.

Then she handed the comb to her staff member with a directive: Clean it.

The article goes on to recount the accounts of staffers who bemoaned their time with Klobuchar who was more than just a demanding boss but rather one who was “demeaning” and “dehumanizing” all while projecting a public persona of “Minnesota nice” which underscores her phoniness.

More from the Times:

The senator feared sabotage from her own team: In an email, she once raised the prospect of an in-house mole. She and her top confidantes could complicate the future job opportunities of some staff members who sought to leave, former aides said, sometimes speaking to their would-be employers to register her displeasure. And Ms. Klobuchar frequently suggested that her aides were preventing her from greater standing in Washington and beyond, former staff members said.

“We are becoming a joke,” she wrote in one email about the contents of her Twitter feed, “and it is making me a joke.”

AND

Most of those interviewed for this article — describing memories that span from shortly after her election in 2006 to the much more recent past — discussed their time with Ms. Klobuchar on the condition of anonymity for fear of reprisal from the senator. These concerns were not idle, they said. Saving potentially damaging emails from Ms. Klobuchar became something of a last-day ritual, the aides said, in case they ever needed evidence of her conduct for their own reputational protection.

She was known to throw office objects in frustration, including binders and phones, in the direction of aides, they said. Low-level employees were asked to perform duties they described as demeaning, like washing her dishes or other cleaning — a possible violation of Senate ethics rules, according to veterans of the chamber.

It’s not a disqualifier to be a bitch on wheels – look at Hillary – but these sort of tales aren’t exactly going to do much to bolster her public profile in any sort of a positive manner.

Look for Klobuchar’s stay in the upcoming primaries to be short. It will be a minor miracle if she even makes it out of the “kid’s table” debates onto the main stage.
