There was a shooting in New Zealand last week in which the killer used a semi-automatic rifle that American liberals call an “assault weapon.” New Zealand has no equivalent to our 2nd Amendment protecting gun ownership rights so they knee-jerked in a semi-automatic weapons ban in the span of a few days. Democrats here in the states are applauding NZ and demanding that we follow suit by banning an entire class of weapons that they think look scary. Remember, these are the same democrats who constantly remind us that nobody is coming for our guns.

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern on Thursday announced the country was immediately banning “military-style semi-automatic weapons” after last week’s attack that killed 50 people at two mosques.
Speaking to reporters, the prime minister said the weapons would be banned in addition to “all assault rifles,” among other firearms. Ardern said that legislation is currently being drafted and she expects the law to take effect by April 11.
Now wait for this word salad:
“We will ban all high-capacity magazines. We will ban all parts with the ability to convert semiautomatic, or any other type of firearm, into a military-style semi-automatic weapon. In short, every semi-automatic weapon used in the terrorist attack on Friday will be banned in this country,” said Ardern.
How the f*ck do you convert a semi-automatic firearm into a semi-automatic weapon? Isn’t it already semi-automatic? It’s nice to see that even in other countries people who want to ban firearms are as gun-illiterate as the liberals in the US.
This gun ban also comes with a mandatory “buyback” which is a fun way to say “gun confiscation.”
Ardern said the government is working on a large-scale buyback plan for citizens possessing the weapons affected by the ban. The plan will allow the guns to be surrendered to police and “eventually destroyed.” Once the buyback is complete, she said, owners would receive “fair and reasonable compensation,” but did not elaborate.
What is the loss of an inborn basic human right worth? Bet NZ doesn’t actually offer fair compensation for that.

No, they chose to react and there’s a big difference. And again, New Zealand doesn’t have anything like our 2nd Amendment so there was nothing stopping the government from disarming the people. Hillary, who is an admirer of Australia’s gun ban/confiscation as well, is advocating for the US government to pretend the Constitution doesn’t exist and follow NZ’s lead.
Because this is Hillary, that statement comes with a lot of bullshit and a serious lack of self-awareness. In her call to disarm the American people Hillary is really pointing a finger at US lawmakers, saying they lack the courage to what NZ did. Wasn’t she a US Senator? How many gun control bills did she author? How many did she sponsor? Those are rhetorical questions because in 8 years in office she didn’t come up with one single piece of legislation, let alone a gun ban that she’s giving Congress shit for not coming up with.
This NZ fanboyism shows exactly how lucky we are the Hillary lost, why Bernie should never get in the White House, and how much of a moron AOC is. Okay, we probably already knew all of that stuff but this reinforces it.
