Michael Avenatti Arrested For Extortion, Tax Fraud, and Embezzlement

The “Creepy Porn Lawyer” is about to find what a horrible nickname that is to have in a prison shower. Michael Avenatti, who represented porn actress Stormy Daniels, was just arrested on two separate charges; one for trying to extort Nike and another for tax fraud and stealing his client’s money. Avenatti was considering running in 2020 and now he’s facing 20-30. Actually, he’s looking at something like 127 years, which is an awful long time to be a prison bitch.

Fox News reports on this very funny thing:

Michael Avenatti, the former attorney for adult-film star Stormy Daniels, was accused Monday by federal prosecutors in New York of operating “an old-fashioned shakedown” by trying to extort between $15 and $25 million from sports apparel giant Nike, part of a string of bombshell claims against the celebrity lawyer.

Avenatti, who briefly considered a bid for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, also was charged with wire fraud and bank fraud in a separate case out of California. He was taken into custody and expected to appear in court later Monday in New York City.

With the charge of extortion, Avenatti was trying to shake down the overpriced shoe company by threatening to expose something embarrassing if they didn’t pay him between $15-25 million. Prosecutors say the FBI was able to capture these threats on audio and video, so it’s not looking great for him.

Prosecutors said Avenatti tried to extort Nike “by threatening to use his ability to garner publicity to inflict substantial financial and reputational harm on the company if his demands were not met.”

At a news conference Monday, Manhattan U.S. Attorney Geoffrey S. Berman said Avenatti used illegal tactics and threats in an effort to obtain millions of dollars for himself. He claimed that if Nike did not meet his demands, “the company might die.”

He allegedly told the attorneys that if his demands were not met, he would “go take ten billion dollars off your client’s market cap … I’m not f—ing around.”

Adding to the evidence against him, Avenatti actually sent out this tweet minutes before he was arrested:

And Avenatti’s day just kept getting worse:

Meanwhile, at a separate news conference in California, federal investigators announced additional criminal charges against the lawyer for a separate matter. In that case, Avenatti was accused of embezzling a client’s settlement money to pay his own expenses and debts — as well as those of his coffee business and law firm.

In the second charge, in addition to stealing his client’s money, he is also alleged to have not really paid his taxes for the past decade. Wait, he’s trying to shake down a major corporation and he doesn’t pay taxes? He’s the white Al Sharpton.

And the hits kept coming at Avenatti. Even Stormy Daniels is done with this scumbag:

Ouch.

There’s one last really funny thing about all of this. There was a co-conspirator named in the Nike extortion case and ABC got the name:

ABC News has learned that the alleged unnamed co-conspirator referenced in the New York case against Avenatti is celebrity attorney Mark Geragos.

Mark Geragos represented Colin Kaepernick in his NFL shakedown case and is also handling hate crime hoaxer Jussie Smolett’s legal issues. Couldn’t make this up if I tried.

Here’s another thing to think about: Michael Avenatti was on CNN about a hundred times in a two-month span attacking Donald Trump saying the president was going to jail. Trump was just completely exonerated and Avenatti is looking at spending the rest of his life behind bars. I don’t know if that’s irony or comedy. I guess it could be both.

Interestingly enough, Mark Geragos was a CNN contributor. The fake news network is having a pretty bad too.
