Good Lord! Bernie Sanders Thinks The Boston Marathon Bomber Should be Allowed To Vote

On April 15, 2013 Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, along with his brother, detonated two bombs near the finish line of the Boston Marathon, killing three and injuring hundreds including 19 people who lost limbs. Later, the brothers got into a shootout with police, killing one and injuring 3 more, one of whom died a year later. If Bernie Sanders had his way, the Boston Marathon Bomber would be allowed to vote from jail. No, he seriously said this.

CNN held another town hall for democrats that nobody watched, but this one had an interesting tidbit. Wealthy socialist Bernie Sanders was asked to expand upon his opinion that rapists and murderers should be allowed to vote.

“You have said that people with felony records should be allowed to vote from prison. Does this mean you would support enfranchising people like the Boston Marathon Bomber, a convicted terrorist and murderer?” asked an audience member.

Bernie, being a liberal, could not give a direct answer. He rambled on how “cowardly” Republicans are making it harder for young people to vote, but didn’t expand upon that lie. Eventually he got around to kind of giving an answer:

“If somebody commits a serious crime, sexual assault, murder, they’re going to be punished. They may be sent to jail for 10 year, 20 years, 50 years, their whole lives. That’s what happens when you commit a serious crime. But I think the right to vote is inherent to our democracy. Yes, even for terrible people,” said Sanders.

There you have it: Sanders was asked if he thinks the Boston Marathon Bomber should be allowed to vote and he says yes.

Moderator Chris Cuomo was jacked about this answer and commanded the audience to applause, which they did. Cuomo then tried to get a more direct answer from Sanders.

“You think the Boston Marathon Bomber should vote, not after he gets out but while he’s in jail. You sure about that?” Cuomo asked.

“I do believe,” replied Sanders.

And the reason why Sanders thinks shitbags like Tsarnaev should be allowed to vote is because he says once you start denying terrorists and cop killers their “right” to vote, pretty soon nobody can vote.

“Every single American, 18 years or older who’s an American citizen has a right to vote. Once you start chipping away at that, believe me that’s what our Republican governors all over the country are doing. They’re talking about all kinds of excuses why people of color, young people, poor people can’t vote,” said Sanders.

You got that? According to Sanders, we have to let terrorists vote because otherwise Republicans won’t let minorities and the poor vote. He’s serious about this by the way.

If a guy blows up hundreds of people and kills 2 cops, it’s not an excuse to suppress minorities by saying this piece of shit can’t vote. Asking people to prove they are who they say they are before voting isn’t an attempt to suppress minorities either, but that’s a topic for a different story.

Okay, Sanders believes that even the worst killers and terrorist should be allowed to vote, but does that belief extend to all other rights? Does Sanders think that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev should be allowed to exercise his 2nd Amendment gun ownership rights behind bars? He’s a democrat, so doesn’t even think law-abiding people on this side of the prison wall should be allowed to own guns. The left is very selective when it comes to which Constitutional right are important.

Obviously Sanders is trying to build a coalition of scumbags to get elected. Jeremy Joseph Christian, who stabbed 2 people to death on a Portland Train is a Bernie Bro. James Hodgkinson, who opened fire on Republicans, shooting Rep. Steve Scalise, was an actual Bernie Sanders campaign worker. Bernie wants the Boston Marathon Bomber to vote, because he fits in nicely with other Sanders supporters.
