I live in California and even I can’t defend it like this. California Governor Gavin Newsom is bragging how awesome the state is because of the democrats’ insane progressive agenda. He leaves out the part about how it’s really expensive to live here, how unfree the residents are, and all of that homeless people’s human feces that covers every single surface of every city, but besides that, it’s still a hellhole.

Gosh, as someone who actually lives here and owns guns, I can say with all certainty that rights are not respected in California. “Assault weapons” are banned as are normal capacity magazines. A very small number of handguns are on the Cali approved list for sale to the public. One must pass a test and pay a fee just to be allowed to purchase a firearm. We’re not allowed to carry a gun for protection and under penalty of law we have to keep our guns unloaded and locked up in our homes. Spoiler alert: I don’t observe all of these laws.
Plus we can be trusted with straws or plastic bags, so those thing are banned.

Gavin Newsom bragging about the success of California due to liberal progressive rule is kind of like a dude talking up his meth-addicted 400-pound 65-year-old girlfriend. They’re both a f*cking catastrophe.
I know what you are thinking: “Brian, if California sucks monkey balls, and it does, why do you live there?” Well, it’s complicated. I have work and family requirements that keep me here, but also despite the liberal apocalypse, Cali is not without its charm. I love the weather: I wear shorts 365 days a year and BBQ at least 300, including on Christmas day.
One weekend last February I took my dog to the mountains to play in the snow on a Friday and the next day I took her to the beach to play in the waves. There’s a ton of interesting things to do here and there actually is a decent amount of cool conservative people. The biggest thing is the ridiculous cost of living. I bought my house before the market went crazy and I will eventually cash out and move to a freer less stupid place when I retire. This is no bullshit, my 1,100 square foot house is going to put a million bucks in my pocket sooner than later.
Gavin Newsom thinks he’s dunking on President Trump with this brag about California, but he missed the rim entirely and fell into a big pile of bum shit that lines every sidewalk in every major city in the state. Before he can pull himself out of the filth, an illegal alien will stab him and steal his wallet, but that’s okay because he likes illegals more than US citizens. He may bleed to death waiting for the shitty California public services to come rescue him, but ultimately it doesn’t matter because the roads and traffic so bad, he would have never made it to the hospital on time.
