Officials accuse DHS chief Kevin McAleenan of leaking ICE raids plan to sabotage operation

Via The Washington Examiner

This week’s big leak about a major Immigration and Customs Enforcement operation was orchestrated by acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan in an effort to sabotage the raids before they were scheduled to take place, according to three current and two former senior administration officials.

In a move he said was to placate Democrats, President Trump announced on Saturday that the nationwide immigration enforcement operation planned to start Sunday — aimed at migrant families who illegally remain in the country despite being denied asylum — was called off to give lawmakers two weeks to work on a plan to fix legal “loopholes” he said have enticed migrants to come to the U.S.

However, all five officials who spoke with the Washington Examiner confirmed McAleenan’s decision to go rogue and stymie the operation was what prompted the White House to call off the 10-city operation.

The planned raids in cities such as Los Angeles, Miami, and Houston, were first reported by the Washington Post on Friday.

South Bend Blacks Revolt Against Pete Buttigieg, Threaten to Derail His 2020 Campaign

Via PJ Media

Black voters in South Bend, Ind. have vocally opposed Mayor Pete Buttigieg, blaming him for leaving the city to campaign for president amid the tense aftermath of a police shooting that claimed the life of a 54-year-old black man. The tensions broke out afresh at a town hall event on Sunday evening.

“We don’t trust you!” a woman hollered as Buttigieg attempted to address the issue, The Los Angeles Times reported.

Last Sunday, Sergeant Ryan O’Neill shot and killed 54-year-old black man Eric Jack Logan. Logan was allegedly breaking into cars with a knife in hand. O’Neill has been accused of racist behavior by both officers and residents he arrested, although some of those complaints were found to be “not sustained,” CNN reported. Worse, his body camera was not turned on during the interaction, making residents suspicious.

O’Neill was put on administrative leave after the shooting. Buttigieg has said he is “extremely frustrated” at the lack of footage and ordered his police chief to ensure that police body cameras are on during interactions with civilians.

At the town hall event Sunday, Buttigieg tried to explain how officials will review the shooting, saying he did not want to prejudice the investigation. He also said he would ask the U.S. Department of Justice to review the case and would ask for an independent prosecutor to weigh the merits of the case.

Crack-ups at the Crossroads of Intersectionality

Via American Greatness

Progressives do not see the United States as an exceptional uniter of factions and tribes into a cohesive whole—each citizen subordinating his tribal, ethnic, and religious affinities to a shared Americanism, emblemized by our national motto e pluribus unum. Instead, they prefer e uno plures: out of one nation arise many innately different and separate peoples.

Progressivism’s signature brand is now tribalism: all of us in different ways are victims of a white male Christian heterosexual patriarchy—or a current 20 percent hierarchy that past and present has supposedly oppressed anyone not like themselves. In contrast, our differences define who we are, and are not incidental to the content of our characters. The salad bowl, not the melting pot, is the new national creed. America is to be a conglomeration of competing tribal parties in the fashion of the Balkans, Rwanda, or contemporary Iraq.

How does the relative victimhood work politically? Progressive elites (oddly often white, but “woke,” males) serve as umpires who adjudicate familial spats and intersectional fractures. Like good cowboys, they ride herd, directing the squabbling and snorting flock in the right direction without losing too many strays on the way to the election booth.

Is Mayor Pete Buttigieg, recently confronted as an unwoke white guy by Black Lives Matter activists, a white male elite, or an oppressed gay male victim who feels the Christian faithful, like his former working associate Mike Pence, supposedly oppress him to the degree he cannot ever be slurred as an oppressor of others who are nonwhite, not affluent, and non-male? In this world of collective woke stereotypes, are inner-city blacks and Catholic Hispanics victims of white males like Buttigieg, or disproportionately insensitive victimizers of such gays as Buttigieg?

American Communists unite behind Green New Deal

Via The Washington Times

One of the Communist revolutionary’s eternal problems — making a living while also pursuing the socialist dream — was thrown into relief at the party’s national convention during a spirited discussion over the Green New Deal.

That the world stands on the precipice of catastrophe was a given among the roughly 300 delegates, and the Communist Party of the USA remains solidly behind the expensive plan to overhaul the global economy and its current reliance on fossil fuels and gas.

“It is important we not underestimate the fact we are facing a situation of mass extinction on this planet,” said Michael, a Communist from Houston who addressed the general session on “The US Working Class, Climate Change and the Green New Deal.”

He went on to discuss the “acidification of the ocean,” and even blamed the calamity of Hurricane Harvey that smashed into Houston and southeastern Texas in 2017 on global warming.

In the end, he said, mankind faces a stark choice between “socialism or mass extinction.”

Expert: ‘Only Matter of Time Before Illegal Alien Voting Is Expanded’

Via Breitbart News

Elected Democrats will soon attempt to expand voting rights in deep blue states for illegal aliens, an election fraud expert says.
Last week, Democrats in New York state approved and signed into law a plan to give driver’s licenses to illegal aliens with the backing of the business lobby. The law allows for the state’s 725,000-strong illegal alien population to be eligible for the same driver’s license that American citizens are afforded.

Already, state officials have said the law will effectively give illegal aliens the ability to vote as New York registers citizens to vote at state Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) offices.

Government Accountability Institute (GAI) Director of Research Eric Eggers exclusively told Breitbart News that the new law in New York indicates that it is “only a matter of time” before elected Democrats in states like California, New York, Massachusetts, Oregon, and Maryland expand voting rights for illegal aliens.

“This is the first step towards the expansion of a number of things that normalize the rights of illegal aliens,” Eggers said.

“It’s only a matter of time before we see the expansion of illegal alien voting in state elections and eventually the Left pushing for illegal alien voting in federal elections,” Eggers continued.

Oberlin College newspaper editorial blames ‘increasingly authoritarian country’ for school’s legal trouble

Via Campus Reform

Oberlin College’s student newspaper editorial board blasted national media coverage of the Gibson’s Bakery trial, saying that it “misses the mark,” and that the ruling is part of an “increasingly authoritarian country.”

The Oberlin Review’s editorial board published an editorial Wednesday, titled “Media Coverage of Gibson’s Verdict Misses the Mark,” in which it strongly criticized how national media covered the case resulting in the college being ordered to pay Gibson’s Bakery $44 million.

“Earlier this month, a jury awarded Gibson’s Bakery $11 million following a month-long trial stemming from the bakery’s lawsuit against Oberlin College and Vice President and Dean of Students Meredith Raimondo,” the editorial board wrote. “Then, last Thursday, it added $33 million in punitive damages. This stunning decision — which strikes a serious blow against free speech on college campuses across the country — has garnered significant attention in major media outlets such as CNN and The New York Times, as well as on social media and various personal blogs.”

In 2016, three African American students were in a physical incident directly outside of the bakery after the son of the store’s owner accused one of the students of shoplifting, according to the report. Oberlin students then claimed that they had been racially profiled, which prompted boycotts and protests of the bakery. A year after the incident, Gibson’s sued the college for coordinating a smear campaign.

The editorial board takes issue with the national media and claims “much of the coverage and commentary has either inaccurately represented the lawsuit and the events that led up to it, or has only presented parts of the larger story.”
