President Trump clapped back hard at poor old Jimmy Carter and dropped the 94-year-old Democrat directly in his tracks following a call for an investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
The claims that Trump was colluding with the Kremlin to cheat Hillary out of her historic victory have been thoroughly debunked to the extent that even former special counsel Robert Meuller and his hit squad of partisan political assassins found nothing but like cult members clinging to a demonic false religion, Democrats continue to be true believers.
While it is understandable that the tinfoil hat brigades at MSNBC and CNN would continue to flog the biggest lie in American political history to bolster sagging ratings and that Democrats would look to keep the Russian bogeyman alive for another election cycle, one would expect more than a former president who despite his failings has received acclaim as a elder statesmen.
But that’s what Carter did when he spouted off that Trump is an “illegitimate” president who was put into the White House by Putin and that an investigation is needed because hey, why not just piss away another $35 million and keep investigating no matter how many times that the witch hunters drill a dry hole.
Former President Jimmy Carter: If fully investigated, it would show that Trump didn't actually win the election in 2016. He lost the election and he was put in office because the Russians interfered …on his behalf.

For the most part, President Trump practiced a good amount of restraint with a silly old man who now exhibits classic signs of senility and who probably drools on himself in private but he still made it clear that Carter has little room to talk given that he is widely recognized as the worst president of the 20th century and perhaps ever.

Via The Hill, “Trump dismisses Jimmy Carter criticism: ‘He was a terrible president'”:
President Trump on Saturday hit back at former President Jimmy Carter for suggesting Trump’s administration is illegitimate.
“Look, he was a nice man. He was a terrible president,” Trump told reporters in Japan during the Group of 20 summit.
“He’s a Democrat. And it’s a typical talking point. He’s loyal to the Democrats. And I guess you should be … as everybody now understands, I won not because of Russia, not because of anybody but myself,” he added.
Trump said Saturday that he won the election because he worked harder than Clinton, adding that he’d “felt badly” for Carter because of how he’d “been trashed within his own party.”
“He’s been badly trashed,” Trump continued. “He’s like the forgotten president. And I understand why they say that. He was not a good president.”
Trump is once again 100 percent correct.
Carter’s dismal four years in charge of the country were a period of economic malaise, defeatism, declining living standards and national depression. It was under Jimmy Carter that the Ayatollah Khomeini’s fanatical followers stormed the American embassy in Tehran and held over fifty Americans captive for 444 days because they knew that the spineless president wasn’t going to do a thing about it.
In an exclamation point on Carter’s failings, the Iranians released the hostages on the same day that Ronald Reagan took his oath of office and made it clear that the days of shame and surrender under his feckless predecessor were over.
Like all other disgraced and irrelevant figures who have been rejuvenated after they attacked Trump, people who never gave a rat’s ass about what Jimmy Carter said before this are now singing his praises.
