In the absence of solid workable ideas, the 2020 democrats are all trying desperately to buy votes. Joe Biden will cure cancer, Bernie will give “free,” stuff and Beto, Lizzy, and Kami will give black people billions in pseudo-reparations if only you vote them into office. Bill de Blasio is stuck at 0% and all the good bribes are gone, so he’s promising to pay female athletes the same as men if he is elected president. I’m assuming he doesn’t mean out of his own pocket, because that would be stupid.
The US Women’s National Soccer Team had a parade in NYC because their anti-American intersectionality was very appealing to the liberal city. Not so much a celebration, it was a giant bitch-fest for the women (and I use that term loosely) of Team USA who are demanding to be paid the same as men.
NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio decided to exploit this event that only liberal non-sports fans give a shit about like this as reported buy The NY Post:
Mayor Bill de Blasio on Wednesday said that, if elected president, he would sign an executive order to guarantee equal pay for women and men athletes — despite glaring discrepancies in pay in his administration.
De Blasio…said he would insist that Congress pass an amendment to the Amateur Sports Act “requiring equal pay for men and women in all of our national sports teams.”
If they are amateur athletes shouldn’t they get paid nothing? I mean, that’s the actual definition of “amateur” right? If they are getting paid, that makes them professional athletes.
Whatever. This is Bill de Blasio we are talking about here. In fact, look at this:
If that failed, de Blasio, a Democratic presidential candidate, said he would sign an executive order “to force” the US Soccer Federation to ensure equal pay.
Wow. Talk about having priorities. There’s the economy, the threat of terrorism, and the border crisis, but de Blasio would make sure some women playing a sport Americans don’t care about get paid the same as the men playing a sport Americans don’t care about.
Here’s the thing that all liberals and the USWNT don’t seem to understand:

So the men generate more money and are paid more? What a concept. Even weirder is how the women actually take in a much larger percentage of the money that they generate than the men do. If there were truly going to be pay equality, the women would have to take a substantial pay cut and I’m guessing they don’t want that.
Remember, we’re still talking de Blasio here, so the NY Post dropped this on his big hypocritical head:
Although women make up half of City Hall’s 10 highest earners, the men — including de Blasio — hold four of the five best-paying jobs, with annual salaries that range from $258,000 to $403,000, records show.
Because of that, men in the administration earn an average of $58,400 a year more than their female colleagues, leaving the women earning just 81 cents for every dollar earned by the men.
Now get ready for the biggest bullshit explanation ever:
Hizzoner was asked by The Post about the pay discrepancy in City Hall.
“The numbers are so clear, we have an administration that’s over 50% women in the top positions, absolute equity in the top positions, there’s a handful of higher-paid positions, at this moment in history some are men and some are women,” de Blasio said.
But what about the fact that men make more than women? Why doesn’t he address that pay gap before promising to do something as president, something that will never happen.

Did you notice how he used the term “pay equality” in the same tweet that he said the men should be paid less? I’m not sure he understands what “equality” means. This is like signing the Civil Rights act and saying that white people should be disadvantaged. That’s what Cuomo just did.
With this parade, hopefully we can be done with these insufferable lesbian soccer players and their hatred for the country they supposedly represent. Liberals have latched on to the USWNT because they are anti-American Trump-haters, not because they enjoy soccer. It’s the same reason why the left suddenly loves Iran.
