Last week I predicted that nitwit Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez would destroy the democratic party from within and we’re already starting to see the chaos she brings to every situation. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was trying to pass a simple resolution declaring President Trump a racist over what he said about AOC and “The Squad.” Instead, it was complete mayhem where Pelosi was rebuked and there was a mad scramble to take the seat of power. The resolution however was not even voted on.
This all starts with Pelosi being fed up with Reps AOC, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and that black check, known as the “Commie Squad” for their socialism and hatred of America. Pelosi made some passive aggressive statements about the Squad and diminished their influence. AOC hit back by calling Pelosi a racist. President Trump actually defended Pelosi and also told the America-haters if they don’t like it here, they are free to leave. In a totally foreseen twist, Pelosi then accused Trump of racism the same way AOC accused her.
That brought us to today where Pelosi was set to introduce a resolution in the House declaring President Trump a racist. She couldn’t bring herself to intro a resolution condemning Ilhan Omar’s anti-Semitism, but she had not problem going after Trump for sticking up for her.
In her prepared statement Pelosi said, “There is no place anywhere for the president’s words, which are not only divisive, but dangerous — and have legitimized and increased fear and hatred of new Americans and people of color.”
“There’s no excuse for any response to those words but a swift and strong unified condemnation. Every single member of this institution, Democratic and Republican, should join us in condemning the president’s racist tweets,” added Pelosi.
Georgia Republican Rep. Doug Collins pointed out that Pelosi’s statement violated House rules because they contained a personal attack and asked that her words be stricken from the record.
That’s when all hell broke loose. Everyone in the chamber began yelling at each other and broke off into small groups to strategize their next attacks.
Democrat Emanuel Cleaver was presiding over the chaos and after trying to bring some order, simply quit. “I abandon the chair,” said Clever and then he just got up and left. This is something no one can every remember happening.
Then there was a foot race to claim the chair, with democratic North Carolina Rep. G.K. Butterfield the fist to get his fat ass on the Iron Throne. After some more fighting, the democrats decided that it shouldn’t be some schlub in the chair so democratic leader Steny Hoyer assumed power.
Collins reintroduced his claim to have Pelosi’s words struck for the record and in an amazing show of party disunity, Hoyer agreed.
“The words used by the gentlewoman from California contained an accusation of racist behavior on the part of the President. The words should not be used in debate,” declared Hoyer.
This decision meant that not only were Pelosi’s words stricken, but that she wasn’t allowed to speak on the House floor for the rest of the day. Disgusted, she stormed off, which was another violation of House rules.
The rest of the democrats went nuts and demanded a vote to reinstate Pelosi’s words. After some more argument, a vote was allowed and along straight party lines, Pelosi’s words were restored. A second vote was taken in which democrats restored Pelosi’s privilege to speak on the house floor.
With all of this craziness going on, democrats never actually got around to voting on Trump’s racism, which was the entire purpose of the spectacle in the first place. It has been reported that they will try again later in the day.
The optics of this are not great for the democratic party, who claims they are fighting for all Americans. All they’ve really done since retaking control of the House is launch endless investigations agains President Trump. Even if today’s vote on Trump being a racist had been successful, it’s still not a vote on any kind of legislation that would help Americans or solve this country’s problems. That is to say, democrats are clowns and everyone in this country can see it.
And the best part about all of this chaos is, it all started with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her Squad of imbecile America-haters acting like morons. Imagine what her influence will do at the ballot box come 2020. If the democrats were smart (and they’re not) they’d take her out to the woods and abandoned her so she can’t find her way back home.
