What a week for president Trump! Not only did the House Robert Mueller testimony embarrass the crap out of democrats, he just got border wall funding and reached a deal to keep illegal aliens from Central America out. I don’t expect much coverage on this from the liberal media, but if he should happen to tweet that AOC is an idiot, they’ll be all over the “racism” of it all.
First up there’s this great news from the Supreme Court as reported by Fox News:
The Supreme Court sided with the Trump administration on Friday in lifting a freeze backed by a lower court that had halted plans to use $2.5 billion in Pentagon funds for border wall construction.
The decision, which split the bench along ideological lines, allows the administration to move ahead with plans to use military funds to replace existing fencing in California, Arizona and New Mexico.
The conservative justices on the court ruled in favor of the administration. Liberal justices Elena Kagan, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sonia Sotomayor dissented. And Justice Stephen Breyer issued a split opinion, agreeing in part with both sides.
It’s shocking right? Who could have seen the liberal SCOTUS Justices opposing this?
Even crazier, the ACLU is also against this and doesn’t understand that a Supreme Court ruling is the final say on a matter:
“This is not over. We will be asking the federal appeals court to expedite the ongoing appeals proceeding to halt the irreversible and imminent damage from Trump’s border wall. Border communities, the environment, and our Constitution’s separation of powers will be permanently harmed should Trump get away with pillaging military funds for a xenophobic border wall Congress denied,” said ACLU lunatic Dror Ladin.
Federal appeals courts don’t overturn Supreme Court decisions, but you do you.
In another big win, President Trump effectively blocked all bogus asylum-seekers from Central America. This is also reported by Fox News:
President Trump on Friday announced a so-called “safe third country” deal with Guatemala to restrict asylum claims to the United States from Central America, calling it a “landmark agreement” and arguing it “will put the coyotes and smugglers out of business.”
“We’ve long been working with Guatemala and now we can do it the right way,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office, with Guatemalan interior minister Enrique Degenhart at his side.
The agreement would require migrants, including Salvadorans and Hondurans, who cross into Guatemala on their way to the U.S. to apply for protections in Guatemala instead of at the U.S. border. It could potentially ease the crush of migrants overwhelming the U.S. immigration system and hand Trump a concession he could herald as a win as he struggles to live up to his campaign promises on immigration.
There’s no word from the democrats on these major victories, but presumably they are scrambling to come up with a plan to get more democratic voters for 2020. A border wall and a lack of MS-13 illegal alien gangbangers really puts a dent in their base and they will have to make it somehow to seriously challenge President Trump.
Okay that was a joke (not really) but what the democrats are actually doing is trying to get a do-over to their do-over on the Robert Mueller investigation. After the Mueller report found that President Trump didn’t collude with the Russians to steal the 2016 election, they forced Mueller to testify before Congress, where he reiterated that Trump didn’t collude with the Russians.
Today, democrat “Fat” Jerry Nadler subpoenaed Mueller’s investigation materials in hopes of finding evidence that Trump colluded with the Russians as the House launched an impeachment inquiry.
On the one hand you have President Trump succeeding and doing great things for the country. On the other hand you have democrats who are still throwing a temper tantrum over the results of a free and fair election. Imagine what Trump could accomplish if he didn’t have democrats, the liberal media, and hysterical Hollywood morons attacking him and trying to block his agenda to Make America Great Again.
