Democrats only have two debates under their belts but it has already been enough to set off panic alarms with the celebrity anti-Trump resistance.
To say that the 2020 field has been even more extreme than anticipated is a huge understatement and following round two, some like porcine filmmaker Michael Moore are already pleading for Michelle Obama to enter the race because none of the clowns onstage have a shot against President Trump.
The latest canary in the coal mine is HBO’s smarmy host Bill Maher who blasted the Democrats for “blowing it” during this week’s edition of “Real Time With Bill Maher” which shows that the celebs already have jitters that there could be a sequel to the worst day of their lives after Trump upset the heavily favored Clinton machine in 2016.
Maher who has at times risked the wrath of the cult of woke Twitter called out the entire field for their sprint to the extreme left in an effort to appeal to the craziest elements of the base while at the same time, alienating millions of crucial moderates and swing voters with their fanaticism.

Via The Washington Examiner, “‘They’re blowing it!’: Bill Maher warns Democrats they’re moving too far Left to beat Trump”:
HBO host Bill Maher warned the Democratic Party that they are moving so far to the Left that they risk alienating the average American.
Arguing during his closing monologue Friday that Americans are fatigued by President Trump, Maher claimed that it should be easy for a Democrat to win in 2020. Nevertheless, Maher warned that the Democrats are ruining their chances because of their extreme policy positions.
“All the Democrats have to do to win is to come off less crazy than Trump — and, of course, they’re blowing it!” Maher explained. “Coming across as unserious people who are going to take away all your money so migrants from Honduras can go to college for free and get a major in ‘America sucks.'”
It’s hard to argue with any of that.
Maher also offered up what could be interpreted as an endorsement of former Vice President Joe Biden, a man who has been viciously attacked because he is a white man in a party that has come to video that particular demographic as the enemy.
According to the host:
“Now, do I want Biden to be president? Not really. But Biden is the only Democrat who beats Trump in Ohio,”
“He’s like non-dairy creamer. Nobody loves it, but in a jam it gets the job done. I can’t figure people out, but they just like Joe. Maybe it’s the familiarity. He’s like a McDonald’s when you’re in Europe.”
Like the proverbial broken clock that is right twice a day, Maher continued:
“It’s hard to beat an incumbent in a good economy. Every incumbent since FDR has won if they avoided a recession leading up to an election year and consumer confidence is sky-high. … The voters that Democrats need to win, moderates who have Trump fatigue, will vote against a good economy, I think, just to get back to normalcy, but they won’t trade it away for left-wing extremism.”
Maher – who is very wealthy – also admitted that he was cheering for a recession which would wreck the lives of millions of Americans if that is what it took to defeat Trump.
Bill Maher: “I’ve been hoping for a recession – people hate me for it – but it would get rid of Trump.”
Josh Barro: “Recessions are really bad. People lose their jobs and homes and we shouldn’t wish for it.”

But despite Maher’s advice, don’t expect 2020 Democrats to do anything but continue to dial up the crazy and by doing so, they are going to be on the receiving end of an electoral ass-whuppin’ unseen since Ronald Reagan bulldozed the hapless Walter Mondale 525-13 and won 49 states.
