Body Cam Theater! Today’s Episode: “You Don’t Hear So Good, Do You?”

Raindrops on roses

And whiskers on kittens

Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens

Brown paper packages tied up with strings

These are a few of my favorite things . . .

I took commenter Larry Sparks’ advice on stuff to type so that the sponsors don’t get pissed off at me again. Pretty good stuff. Thanks, Larry.

You know what else is one of my favorite things? Watching a thug get riddled with bullets on Body Cam Theater. And this episode is particularly spectacular because we get to see the thug get perforated without any blurry stuff to ruin our viewing enjoyment while he expires. So here we go . . .

Shocking bodycam footage shows moment Utah police officers order blade-wielding suspect to ‘drop that knife!’ before shooting him dead when he ignores them

Horrifying police body camera footage . . .

I think they meant to say horrifyingly AWESOME!

. . . captured the moment Utah officers fatally shot a knife-wielding suspect who ignored their orders to stand down.

Ogden Police responded to reports of a man with a knife, later identified as 26-year-old Jovany Mercado-Bedolla, approaching residents having a party in their yard and looking into vehicles in the neighborhood on August 16.

Today’s star, Jovany Mercado-Bedolla, now a carcass.

When cops arrived to the scene, near 32nd Street and Gramercy Avenue, around 9pm, they found Mercado-Bedolla near a carport bearing his knife.

He then advanced towards officers despite their orders to drop his weapon and stand still.

Which begs the question, did he ignore the commands because he didn’t speak English? Was he perhaps an illegal alien? No mention of it, but it’s possible. Personally, I like to imagine he was so the story becomes even more enjoyable. But English speaker or not, everyone knows you don’t walk towards cops while holding a knife.

‘Drop it now! Drop that knife!’ a cop is heard yelling in the body camera footage.

When he continued to walk towards the officers from the top of a carport while holding the knife in a ‘threatening manner’.

When he reached the sidewalk, four responding officers shot him several times, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.

‘Shots fired. Stay back, stay back,’ a cop is heard saying after shots rang out.

Mercado-Bedolla fell down, dropped the knife, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The entire shooting incident unfolded in about 30 seconds.

Now the moment we’ve all been waiting for. Let’s roll tape!

‘All four officers fired their service pistols. The suspect went down there, near the sidewalk, coming out of the carport. Medical was called to the scene and he was declared deceased right there,’ Police Chief Randy Watt said on the incident.

‘There was distance, but not enough for the officers to retreat any further than they did, and they were forced to take the actions they did. He was advancing on the officers, holding a knife in a threatening manner,’ he added, according to Gephardt Daily.

Ogden police released the body camera footage of the August 16 shooting on Wednesday.

Now the question that remains is what brought Mercado-Bedolla do [sic] that neighborhood in the first place where he crashed a local party.

Does it? Does the question remain? I mean really, who cares? He wasn’t invited, had a knife, and now he’s dead. Go throw him in a hole with the other BCT stars and cover him with quicklime so he doesn’t stink up the place. Meh.

The party attendee that called police said he seemed ‘disoriented’. When cops arrived on the the party goers pointed officers to a dark carport where the suspect was hiding.

Now the Weber County Critical Response Team is investigating the matter and the officers who opened fire are on paid administrative leave.

ABC4 describes Mercado-Bedalla as having “a criminal history including felonies for aggravated assault, attempted forgery, and misdemeanors of drug possession.” So good. You’re dead now. No more criminal activities for you.

I hope this video started your day off on the right note. I’m off to work now. Have a nice day!
