California Drops Charges Against Illegal Who Killed Kate Steinle But It Ain’t Over Yet

Will this insanity ever end?

In a gross miscarriage of justice, an activist California court overturned the conviction of the illegal immigrant who killed Kate Steinle as she walked along a San Francisco pier with her father.

The tragic death of the 32-year-old woman who was cut down in her prime by a man who shouldn’t have even been in the country became a flashpoint in the ongoing crisis of the invasion and occupation of the U.S. by criminal illegals.

The case was weaponized by the rabid California left who out of their hatred for President Trump and resentment over a lost election, sided with a murderer against the leader of the free world.

But while the disgracefully politicized California appellate court sided with the killer, the federal government has other plans for Jose Ines Garcia-Zarate who will be the left’s martyr figure in a coming showdown with the Trump administration.

The feds aren’t simply going to allow a criminal murder to get off scot-free and plan on going after Garcia-Zarate on federal gun charges.

A U.S. attorney clarified the status of the illegal alien who fatally shot Kate Steinle in San Francisco in 2015, saying he “has no right to possess a firearm under federal law, even if California extends him sanctuary.”

David Anderson, the U.S. attorney in San Francisco, issued the scathing statement in response to a California appeals court’s decision Friday to overturn a gun possession conviction against Jose Inez Garcia-Zarate, a 48-year-old Mexican national who admitted to holding the gun that killed Steinle.

Garcia-Zarate was convicted on state charges Nov. 28, 2017, on one count of felony possession of a firearm in connection with Steinle’s July 1, 2015, death. He was acquitted on first-degree murder, second-degree murder and manslaughter charges at the trial.

A federal grand jury indicted him Dec. 5, 2017, on a charge of felony possession of a firearm by a felon, and for felony possession by an illegally present alien.

Anderson reiterated Tuesday that the federal charges against Garcia-Zarate remain in effect.

“The state-court ruling has no legal effect on the federal prosecution, which will continue,” Anderson said, according to a Department of Justice press release. “A repeatedly deported, previously convicted felon has no right to possess a firearm under federal law, even if California extends him sanctuary.”

The unconscionable move by the court to overturn Garcia-Zarate’s conviction speaks volumes of the political left’s flagrant disregard for enforcing immigration laws. Serves to underscore their ideologically driven preference for coddling criminal illegals even if they kill the state’s own citizens and shows that there is a double standard when it comes to gun crimes.

Had Garcia-Zarate mowed Steinle down with an AR-15 he still would have been fiercely protected by the anti-American extremists who rule California with an iron fist.

As for the once pristine city that has been plagued by decades of Democrat-controlled government to the point where its human feces and used drug needle filled streets are a national disgrace?

The San Francisco Board Of Supervisors just passed a resolution declaring the NRA as a domestic terrorist organization which puts a target on the backs of millions of law-abiding American gun owners who will now be fair game for ANTIFA and the violent fascist left.

Americans had better wake up and pay heed to what is going on in California and especially San Francisco which serves as the capital city for the resistance because this is the future that is coming if radicalized Democrats are able to gain control of the federal government.
