I’m amazed that this shooting wasn’t all over every fake news outlet when it happened. That’s because to the typical half-wit liberal viewer, this video would at first appear to be a straight up execution attempt of an unarmed suspect. The officer approaches the suspect’s vehicle, orders him to show his hands, then immediately unleashes a volley of rounds at the thug. Typical police behavior! Let’s riot!
Only there’s two things wrong with that. While the thug did show his hands, there was a gun in one of them, and oh . . . he was also a white guy so no one cares.
Bodycam video: Officer opens fire on armed suspect before pursuit in metro
OKLAHOMA CITY —
Police on Wednesday released body camera video of an officer-involved shooting last month that sparked an overnight chase in northwest Oklahoma City.Around 11:55 p.m. Sept. 9, Officer Tyler Arney stopped a vehicle near Southwest 72nd Street and Western Avenue for a traffic violation, according to a news release. Arney approached the vehicle, and the driver produced a gun.
Arney discharged his weapon several times, hitting the suspect, who drove away from the scene, starting a pursuit.
The driver continued north on Western Avenue and turned onto Southwest 59th Street, where he fired at Arney and then threw his gun out the car window, according to the release. After hitting several curbs and damaging his vehicle, the driver stopped near Southwest 54th Street and Portland Avenue.
It’s hard to see the thug’s gun in this video, so I tried my best to take a screenshot of it. While it’s not the clearest picture in the world, you can see the gun there in the scumbag’s hand. KOCO 5 news also stated that the thug admitted to pointing that gun at the officer. Case closed.
Now let’s watch:

And while I’m disappointed the thug didn’t expire, I do enjoy watching those windshields explode and seeing the blood on his left arm. All in all, that wasn’t bad shooting by the officer considering it all happened in a split second, he had a bad angle (the center pillar on the car was an obstruction to a clean shot), and he was backing away while firing as the car moved forward. He scored a hit. So not bad at all.
Police took the driver and a passenger into custody. The driver, identified as 24-year-old Shelby Stanfield, was taken to an area hospital to be treated for his wound and then booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on counts of possession of a firearm after a former conviction of a felony, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon after a former conviction of a felony.
And birds of feather . . . his thug buddy was also a felon with a gun!
A passenger in the car with Stanfield was not injured and was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on a count of possession of a firearm after a former conviction of a felony.
Arney was not injured and was placed on paid administrative leave.
Justified. Only two things went wrong here. The thug lived, and remember that bit about, “he [Stanfield] fired at Arney and then threw his gun out the car window.” So where is the attempted murder of a police charge in all this? Here’s hoping that eventually gets added to his lists of crimes.
Have a happy Saturday. I hope this starts your day off on the right foot!
