Millionaire Joe Biden Claims He’s The Poorest Man In Government

People may not like Joe Biden’s racism, sexism, age, health, insanity, or lack of substance, but maybe they’ll vote for him because he’s just a regular working class slob, living paycheck to paycheck. At least that’s what Biden is is hoping to salvage his sinking presidential campaign. The millionaire former VP is claiming that he is one of the poorest person to ever hold public office. See, he’s just like you so vote for him and please ignore his vast fortune.

Here’s a sure sign of desperation:

“I entered one of the poorest men in Congress and left one of the poorest men in government, in Congress and as Vice President,” said Biden.

One of the poorest men in government? What about the minimum wage guy who takes out the trash at the Capitol cafeteria? Biden, as vice president, was pulling down a cool $235,100 annually. Considering the VP doesn’t actually do anything, that’s like making $235,100 an hour for actual work. Plus, Biden was also pulling in an extra $100,000 a year as VP, maybe from Ukraine and China kickbacks.

It gets even harder to give a rat’s ass about Biden’s “extreme poverty” when you consider that in the 2 years since leaving office, Biden has amassed a $16 million fortune for doing what he did as VP: nothing. This is not unlike the Clintons’ claim that they left the White House “dead broke” and then were suddenly worth $30 million for no apparent reason.

This is not to say that Biden isn’t hurting for money, just not personally. His campaign is in dire straights with terrible fundraising numbers and cash on hand. In the 3rd quarter, Biden only raised $15 million and has less than $9 million on hand. In terms of a major political campaign, that’s like having $20 left in the checking account with the gas and cable bill still unpaid.

Besides not being able to bring in the big donor checks, Biden’s money troubles may have something to do with the fact that he’s shitty with money. The NY Post reports that Biden has spent nearly a million dollars on private jets so he can fly around the country and make an ass of himself. I wonder how that figures in with his claim that global warming is an existential threat because that’s a whopping carbon footprint as well as a terrible waste of funds.

Biden’s campaign isn’t based on his ideas, he has none, but rather two things: “Trump bad” and “I’m just like you.” He thinks he can capture all of the working class Rustbelt voters if he can convince them he’s “Lunch Bucket” Joe who struggles to make ends meet.

The problem with running on relatability, and Hillary faced this as well, you have to actually be relatable. Joe Biden is a rich elitist career politician and a bizarre caricature of an actual human being. He’s about as far away from a working class family man from Ohio as is possible.
