Body Cam Theater! Today’s Episode: “A Big Swing and a Miss!”

Editor’s note: Due to graphic content, the video with this story has been edited. In the portion cut, the officer opens fire after the suspect swings a machete at him. The suspect falls to his knees before finally laying flat on the ground.

Haha! I didn’t write that. The good people at Online Athens did. But this isn’t Online Athens, this is Def-Con News and we believe in the public’s right to see thugs getting shot whenever possible. So you can just forget about all that snowflake “Oh, it’s too graphic!” crap. Here it is unedited. Grab some popcorn and enjoy.

Athens-Clarke police released on Wednesday the body-cam footage that shows the Oct. 5 police shooting of a man armed with a machete outside University Garden Apartments on Baxter Drive.

The suspect, Salvador Salazar, 28, of Summerfield, N.C., remains in an Athens hospital in serious condition, a police spokesman said Wednesday.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation, which is conducting an independent investigation into the shooting, has announced that Salazar will be charged with aggravated assault for his actions toward the officer. Local police said they are continuing with their internal investigation as well.

Police were initially dispatched shortly before 5 p.m. to the apartment complex to check on a domestic violence situation.

In the video footage, officer Roger Williams can be seen approaching Salazar in a corridor at the apartments and questioning what he was doing.

At one point, Williams orders him to “Get your hand out of your pocket.”

In the video, Salazar appears to ignore the officer and start walking away in the direction of a large trash bin. The confrontation between the two men takes an aggressive turn when Salazar is seen swinging a machete at the officer, who has his pistol aimed at the man.

In response to the assault, the officer fires three times, which brings Salazar to his knees. The suspect appears to remain uncooperative as he continued to hold the machete while on the pavement.

He finally lays flat on the ground as Williams and a backup officer keep their weapons trained on him.

Now that the description is out of the way, let’s have a look. There’s some good moaning and groaning and a sweet slow motion version too.

Williams, who has been on the force about 18 months, remains on administrative leave.

I’m in a hurry right now. Gotta go to work. So I don’t have time for my usual witty banter or insightful analysis. I just wanted to get this up before more time passed and the corpse started to smell. This was released on Wednesday, after all. Actually, the thug was listed as being in “serious condition at a hospital. But I hope he dies and you get what I meant anyway. 🙂

Does a police shooting get any more justified than this?

Have a great day, fellow Deplorables!
