WAPO Glorifies ISIS Butcher With Disgusting Obit Headline

Well, it’s not like we already didn’t know which side they were on…

The Washington Post has plumbed the depths during the once venerable paper’s war on President Trump but hit rock bottom on Sunday.

There was much grumbling from Democrats and their pets in the media after Trump announced that top ISIS butcher Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi had been killed in a daring raid by U.S. forces that took down a monstrous terrorist leader.

Sunday morning shows that had lined up a parade of Democrats to sell their perverted and unconstitutional “impeachment inquiry” were forced to cover what was a major win for America and much to their dismay, the president who they despise.

While Jake Tapper, Chuck Todd and a gaggle of lesser names were clearly disappointed and looking for angles to attack Trump over the termination of the ISIS killer with extreme prejudice, at least they didn’t sink to the level of glorifying him.

Unlike the WAPO which in an obituary for Baghdadi, referred to him as an “austere religious scholar” in what may as well have been a public relations release for ISIS.

Via The Federalist, “Washington Post Writes Glowing Obituary For World’s Most Dangerous Terrorist”:

Baghdadi’s death marks the execution of the world’s most dangerous terrorist since Osama Bin Laden’s killing in 2011. Baghdadi, the founder of the Islamic State, otherwise known as “ISIS” or “ISIL,” oversaw the extrajudicial killings of James Foley, Steven Sotloff, Peter Kassig and Muadh al-Kasasbeh capturing international attention in addition to the slaughtering of hundreds more.

The obituary from the Washington Post however, framed one of the world’s most brutal terrorists as an “austere religious scholar.”

“Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, austere religious scholar at helm of Islamic State, dies at 48,” read the initial published headline from one of America’s leading newspapers.

The headline has since been changed to “Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, extremist leader of Islamic State, dies at 48.”

While the Post eventually made the headline somewhat better, though they were spot-on the first time, the obituary still reads remarkably well-disposed touting the ISIS leader’s academic credentials and career building his vast terrorist empire responsible for torturing countless innocent people.

The Post, after chronicling Baghdadi’s rise to power, waited until the 40th paragraph of the obituary to mention Baghdadi was also a serial rapist for much of the last decade.

There has been much speculation over the years that ISIS was if not a creation of the CIA, it was surely sanctioned by America’s foremost terror organization and as the WAPO has long been a mouthpiece of the CIA, the glowing treatment would be at least circumstantial evidence of that relationship.

Not to be outdone, Bloomberg News also got in on glossing over Baghdadi’s reign of terror

As did the New York Times:

One has to ask very serious questions about the state of the major newspapers in the U.S. when they have taken to becoming apologists for a fiend who ordered beheadings, burned people in cages, threw gays off of roofs and kept a stable of sex slaves who the dirty pervert repeatedly raped before torturing and murdering.

If not glossing over Baghdadi’s evil, the tinfoil hatters over at MSNBC are looking to spin the killing of the terrorist mastermind into – you guessed it – another variation of the same Russian conspiracy theory that they have pimped for years.

As former president George W. Bush once put it “you are either with us or you are with the terrorists” and it is pretty clear which side the disgraceful media is on.
