Donn Martin included a very important item on the Breakfast For The Brain menu Monday. It’s a very sobering expose on how “what you say can and will be used against you.” And we’re not talking Miranda, the rights afforded you after you’ve been arrested. We’re talking about the words that you say LEADING TO YOUR ARREST.
This absolutely anti-American sentiment is gaining traction in our nation. Those that want you to shut up, because they don’t agree with you, are steadily moving their agenda forward. That agenda dictates that you’re only allowed to say what they approve of. In other words, your speech, as an expression of your beliefs and opinions, can put you in jail.
The article references Richard Stengel and his column in The Washington Post entitled “Why America needs a hate speech law”.
Stengel is described as “Richard Stengel, an MSNBC analyst and a former editor of Time…the author of “Information Wars” and was the State Department’s undersecretary for public diplomacy and public affairs from 2013 to 2016.” i.e. during the Obama administration.
To me, it seems no coincidence that the man who formerly worked for the Islamist in Chief would cite the following example:
“As a government official traveling around the world championing the virtues of free speech, I came to see how our First Amendment standard is an outlier. Even the most sophisticated Arab diplomats that I dealt with did not understand why the First Amendment allows someone to burn a Koran. Why, they asked me, would you ever want to protect that?” Stengel wrote.
Stengel further states, “Yes, the First Amendment…seems like a design flaw.”
So there it is.
Another attack on on our Constitution and on our God-Given rights.
Another attack against our Nation’s Founders. Another attack by those who want to rule with an iron fist.
Another attack by those who want the power and the privilege.
Another attack by those who think that they have the right to rule every aspect of you life.
Another attack by those who hate freedom, those who hate America, THOSE WHO HATE YOU.
