Ugly, ugly, ugly…
Last night on national television the NFL game between the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers featured a brutal exchange that will not end well for Myles Garrett, the Browns’ star defensive player.
Late in what would be a 21-7 win by the Brownies against their hated rivals and a possible turning point in their disappointing season, Garrett ripped the helmet from the head of Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph and proceeded to pummel him with it.
It was like a violent scene directly out of the classic 1970s sci-fi movie Rollerball or at least a Popeye’s Fried Chicken outlet where customers are throwing down over the popular artery-clogging chicken sandwich.
This is off the chain.
Browns player Myles Garrett took off Mason Rudolph’s helmet and clubbed him in the head with it.
What a fucking moron.
The game is already dangerous enough, you don’t need to smash players in the head with their own helmet.
Full year suspension.

Via Fox News, “Browns’ Myles Garrett in ugly brawl with Steelers’ Mason Rudolph toward end of game”:
Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett was involved in an ugly brawl with Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph toward the end of their game Thursday night.
The fight occurred in the closing seconds of the game. Rudolph had thrown a short pass to running back Trey Edmunds when Garrett rushed him and threw him down on the ground. The two then began to get into a scuffle on the ground when Steelers offensive linemen Matt Feiler and David DeCastro tried to break it up.
Video shows Garrett ripping Rudolph’s helmet off his head and hitting the quarterback with it. Rudolph then looks around for referees with his arms up. Maurkice Pouncy then gets involved and starts to punch Garrett in the helmet. He is then seen kicking Garrett in the helmet while the defensive end is lying on the turf on his back.
It was totally unnecessary and on a night when Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield didn’t throw a single intereception another example of how even when they win, the Browns lose.
Garrett was quick to take to Twitter to offer up a lame semi-apology but it is likely more of a desperate attempt to avoid a major suspension than any actual contrition over his on-field thuggery.
He also has a nasty streak that has been displayed this season as the former top draft pick has been racking up the dirty plays.

It is likely that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is going to drop the hammer on this vicious goon today with what may be a record suspension and fine.
One option is – just wait for it – he can claim that Rudolph called him a n****r, it works like a charm every time.
