Ocasio-Cortez Admits Impeachment Is All About Stopping Trump In 2020

For those who have been paying attention, the wretched and un-American impeachment show trial has always really been about one thing and one thing only.

That is preventing the reelection of President Trump who unless stopped is going to deliver an electoral butt-whipping to Democrats unseen since Ronald Reagan squashed the hapless Walter Mondale in a 49 state wipeout.

The celebrity congresswoman who was tending bar only two years ago only to become the de facto leader of the party just admitted it.

According to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the impeachment is about “about preventing a potentially disastrous outcome from occurring next year” and “uniting” her rapidly fracturing party around a central issue.

The taco bar revolutionary fessed up during an appearance with multimillionaire celeb CNN talking head Wolf Blitzer on the “Situation Room” last night.

On Wednesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “The Situation Room,” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said today’s public hearing in the impeachment inquiry of President Donald Trump was ”not just about something that has occurred.”

She said it was instead “about preventing a potentially disastrous outcome from occurring next year.”

Ocasio-Cortez said, “The whole point of the public hearings is to present the facts to the public and let the general public see the facts for themselves and understand why we have chosen to move forward with the impeachment inquiry. What we heard today was astounding and devastating news for the president and anyone in the administration, really partaking. Frankly, this is devastating for the country. Our national security has been compromised, our elections potentially compromised. I think right now what Republicans have to do is decide what their role is going to be in the scope of history. We will look back at this time and really truly examine the moral decisions each member of Congress decided to make.”

She concluded, “We also need to move quite quickly because we’re talking about the potential compromise of the 2020 elections. And so this is not just about something that has occurred; this is about preventing a potentially disastrous outcome from occurring next year.”

Ocasio-Cortez is not the first Democrat to admit that the only way to stop Trump is by using the Tonya Harding strategy by hobbling him before an election year but such a brazen admission may come back to haunt Dems.

With the Schiff show debuting on Wednesday before a nationally televised audience, the Stalinist California Dem struggled to present viewers with a captivating reason why the legitimately elected president should be removed from office.

In fact, the bogus case against Trump took several hits from the testimony of the Dems’ star witness Ambassador Bill Taylor, a smug career bureaucrat whose primary beef is that Trump doesn’t agree with his personal views on foreign policy.

Taylor was clearly not ready for the national spotlight during often bumbling testimony like this doozy where he admitted that he was little more than an ultra-partisan rumormonger.

All in all, it was not an ideal day for Schiff and company and given the nonexistent information and lack of a narrative that would appeal to low-information voters and fence-sitters on why despite a roaring economy that Trump should be removed does not bode well for the rest of this scam proceeding.

As far as AOC goes, the “potentially disastrous outcome” next year may even claim her when voters in her New York City congressional district will have their first opportunity to weigh in on her killing of the deal to bring a second Amazon headquarters to town with tens of thousands of jobs.

If Wednesday was the best that the Democrats have, they are totally screwed.
