This is refreshing. Normally Adam Schiff lies about Russian Collusion and Ukraine quid pro quo, but here he is lying about President Trump kicking millions of children off of food stamps. He obviously understands that you gotta switch it up every so often or your BS gets stale. It’s still a lie and still about Trump, but the subject matter has changed slight so it’s edgy and original.
The Trump administration has finalized a rule that would require single childless able-bodied adults to work. This is what California democrat Adam Schiff got out of it:
Trump is seeking to kick millions of families and children off food assistance.
Meanwhile, he’s preparing to send another $14 billion to big agribusinesses to offset the damage from his trade war.
His values are clear: Welfare for corporations. Hunger for American families. https://t.co/v0VAR8ZC8X

The truth is so meaningless to Schiff that his tweet lie is contradicted by the sub-tweet. He says Trump’s kicking “millions of families and children off of food assistance” and then right below that is a New York Times article saying “nearly 700,000 people.” 700,000 isn’t even 1 million let alone millions (plural with an “s”).
The lie grows because Schiff didn’t even bother to read the article he raged-tweeted about. The only people who might loose their food stamps are adults with no children. The actual number of families getting the boot is zero and the actual number children getting kicked off is also zero. Schiff was at the very least 2 million off his claim, which is one hell of a miscalculation.
Schiff is the elder statesmen of bullshit in the democratic party but he has some completion from insipid Squad member Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. AOC is also lying about the Trump administration’s food stamp policy, but she made it all about her because she’s full of shit and full of herself.
My family relied on food stamps (EBT) when my dad died at 48.
I was a student. If this happened then, we might’ve just starved.
Now, many people will.
It’s shameful how the GOP works overtime to create freebies for the rich while dissolving lifelines of those who need it most. https://t.co/WOrYvhfPj4

Again, no families or kids are getting kicked off of food stamps. If only AOC would have actually read the story she linked to:
The USDA rule change affects people between the ages of 18 and 49 who are childless and not disabled.
It should be noted that AOC was sophomore in college when her father died, so she wasn’t a child; she was an adult (not mentally, but legally).
When it was pointed out that she is 100% wrong about the new rules, AOC showed that the only thing that starved was her brain due to a lack of oxygen:
The rule ignores the reality of American life.
Plenty of parents who support can’t claim “adult” (18+) children as dependents.
Getting disability status is notoriously difficult &food is an immediate need. What if someone has an undiagnosed mental issue, like severe depression? https://t.co/UzBvF5dY7l

So people over 18 are children now? AOC is still clearly making this about herself with that mental illness business. The good news for her is that instead of getting kicked off of food stamps, over-18 mentally ill children like her get elected to Congress.
The point of the new food stamps rule is to encourage able-bodied adults to work instead of relying on government handouts for the rest of their lives. Democrats hate this because they count on welfare recipients to stay in office. If people are utterly dependent upon the government, they tend to vote for the party that feeds that dependency.
