The Inspector General report on the FBI spying on Donald Trump’s campaign came out yesterday and it’s kind of a mess. It says basically that, yes, the FBI made mistakes and broke the law but they didn’t mean to so it’s okay. People on both sides are claiming victory with the report, but there’s one very distinct loser: Democrats Congressman Adam Schiff. The head of the House Intelligence lied to the American people about the facts of this case and the IG report proves it. Once again Shifty Adam is completely full of Schitt.
The basic gist of the IG report is that the FBI relied heavily on the discredited Steele Dossier to obtain wiretap warrants to surveil Trump associate Carter Page. The dossier was paid for by Hillary Clinton and the DNC as opposition research against Donald Trump and is complete bunk. The IG report lists 17 different occasions in which the FBI lied about the Steele Dossier to the FISA court to get warrants against Carter Page.
How is this related to Adam Schiff? Well, back in early 2018 when Republicans were still in charge of the House of Representatives, Republican Devin Nunes blew the lid off of the FBI abuse with his now famous February 2018 memo. In the memo Nunes detailed all of the abuses the IG report confirmed. Nunes was 100% correct in accusing the FBI of relying on the Steele Dossier to fraudulently spy on the Trump campaign.
Adam Schiff, a minority party member at the time, issued his own memo saying that the FBI didn’t use the Steele Dossier as a pretext to spying on Carter Page:
FBI and officials did not “abuse” the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) process, omit material information, or subvert this vital tool to spy on the Trump campaign.
In fact, DOJ and the FBI would have been remiss in their duty to protect the country had they not sought a FISA warrant and repeated renewals to conduct temporary surveillance of Carter Page, someone the FBI assessed to be an agent of the Russian government. DOJ met the rigor, transparency, and evidentiary basis needed to meet probable cause requirement, by demonstrating: contemporaneous evidence of Russia?s election interference;
Christopher Steele’s raw intelligence reporting did not inform the decision to
initiate its counterintelligence investigation in late July 2016. In fact, the FBI’s closely-held investigative team only received Steele’s reporting in mid-September more than seven weeks later.
As members of the House Intelligence Committee, both Nunes and Schiff had access to the same investigation materials and yet Schiff gave a complete misrepresentation of the facts. This is another way of saying his rebuttal memo was a lie.
Is anyone else sensing a pattern of bullshit with Adam Shiff?
He spent two years accusing President Trump of colluding with the Russian government to steal the 2016 election, claiming he had irrefutable proof. When the Muller report came out and exonerated Trump of coordinating with the Russians, Schiff continued to insist he had “beyond circumstantial evidence” of collusion. He has never released this proof because he was lying and it doesn’t exist.
Schiff orchestrated the entire Ukraine quid pro quo farce that democrats have introduced articles of impeachment against President Trump over. He lied about his relationship with the whistleblower, he made up a conversation between Trump and Ukraine president Zelensky, and abused his power to hide his sloppy coup attempt scheme.
Now, we also find out he lied about the FBI spying on Trump’s campaign.
Instead of being in jail for perjury, sedition, and treason, Adam Schiff is running the show to remove the duly-elected President of the United States from office.
