Deep State Justice Department reverses itself on Michael Flynn, asking for up to six months in prison

The Justice Department asked a federal judge to sentence Michael Flynn to up to six months in prison on Tuesday in a reversal of its previous request that the former national security adviser get no time.

The DOJ said Flynn no longer deserved any credit for providing substantial assistance in its investigations or for accepting responsibility for his false statements to the FBI about discussions he had with Russia’s ambassador and his work for Turkey.

“The defendant monetized his power and influence over our government, and lied to mask it,” the DOJ said. “When the FBI and DOJ needed information that only the defendant could provide, because of that power and influence, he denied them that information. And so an official tasked with protecting our national security, instead compromised it.”

Prosecutors also said Flynn’s behavior since his sentencing hearing in 2018, which was delayed until later this month, led prosecutors to believe “through representations by the defendant’s counsel, that the defendant has retreated from his acceptance of responsibility in this case regarding his lies to the FBI.” Prosecutors pressed the judge to ask Flynn “whether he maintains those apparent statements of innocence or whether he disavows them and fully accepts responsibility for his criminal conduct.”

Flynn pleaded guilty in 2017 for lying to investigators about his conversations with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak regarding U.S. sanctions and a U.N. Security Council vote. Former FBI Director James Comey admitted he took advantage of the chaos in the early days of the Trump administration when he sent special agent Peter Strzok and another FBI agent to talk to Flynn.

Flynn agreed to cooperate with special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation, admitting then reaffirming his guilt in 2017 and 2018. The defense team that negotiated the plea deal was later fired and, since taking over Flynn’s defense this summer, former federal prosecutor Sidney Powell has argued “there never would’ve been a plea to begin with” if Flynn knew how much information the DOJ was hiding from him.

Biden Sucks Up To the Ayatollahs, Demands Trump Turn Over Evidence On Drone Strike

Democrats have come completely unglued since losing the 2016 election and are now openly siding with Iran against President Trump.

In the aftermath of Trump’s authorization of the airstrike that took out the Islamic republic’s top general, top Dems and their shills in the media have been acting as though they are taking orders directly from Tehran.

The elimination of General Qasem Soleimani a repressive man who was a key component of Iran’s global terrorist network has infuriated Democrats who hate Trump so much that they seem to view protecting America as an impeachable offense.

Now even 2020 frontrunner Joe Biden has joined the mob that is clamoring for Trump’s head and on Tuesday, the former vice president demanded that the POTUS produce the evidence that led to the killing of Soleimani.

Biden rejected the administration’s claim that decisive action was needed to combat an imminent threat posed by Soleimani and joined congressional Democrats and other 2020 presidential contenders in calling for proof.

“All we heard from this administration are shifting explanations based [on] the repeated assertion of an imminent threat without the necessary evidence to support that conclusion. And since this is a president with a history of lying about virtually everything, who has destroyed his own credibility and that of the United States on the global stage, the American people, our allies, and indeed, no one around the world seems to be taking his word for it,” Biden said.

“If there was an imminent threat that required this extraordinary action, we’re owed an explanation and the facts to back it up,” Biden said.

Biden’s demands come after House Intel Committee Chairman and chief impeachment inquisitor Adam Schiff called for another Soviet-style investigation of Trump over the killing of Soleimani.

It’s not as if Biden hasn’t already established that he would side with the ayatollahs, he was in the White House when Barack Obama and his regime sent pallets of cash to Iran to make a deal with the devil over the country’s nuclear weapons program and by doing so, gave them the money to fund attacks on Americans.

There was three years of ginned-up hysteria over the hoax that President Trump was colluding with Russia during the 2016 election and yet it is Biden and the Democrats who are now acting as agents of a hostile foreign government.

Biden and his campaign war room may believe that working on behalf of the enemy is going to bolster his electoral prospects but Americans aren’t stupid and can see how the Democrats are putting their vendetta against Trump ahead of protecting them.

Just when you thought they couldn’t sink any lower, Biden opened his mouth.

Chelsea Clinton Rakes in $9 Million as Corporate Board Director

Former first daughter Chelsea Clinton made $9 million while serving as a board member for the IAC/InterActiveCorp since 2011.

“Barron’s reported Sunday that Clinton has profited handsomely as a board member for IAC/InterActiveCorp, a media and internet investment company that has an ownership stake in 150 well-known brands, such as Vimeo, Tinder, Angie’s List and Home Advisor,” according to the Hill.

Clinton, the only child of former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, has served on IAC’s board since 2011 and receives an annual $50,000 retainer and $250,000 worth of restricted IAC stock units. She reported owning $8.95 million worth of IAC stock to the Securities and Exchange Commission at the end of December.

Barron’s notes that IAC’s stock has risen 89 percent, 50 percent and 36 percent in 2017, 2018 and 2019, respectively, a far steeper rise than the broader stock market. Clinton’s public profile has proved a valuable commodity.

In October 2018, Clinton reportedly earned $6.6 million for joining the IAC’s board. However, it was unclear at the time what exactly her role entailed.

As vice chair of the Clinton Foundation, she worked “to drive the vision and programmatic objectives” of the foundation, according to its website.

Ricky Gervais delivered a glorious kick in the globes to Hollywood’s woke virtue-signalling hypocrites – and exposed them as a bunch of shameless two-faced charlatans

They’d come to slap each other’s backs and feel virtuous about themselves.

Very, very virtuous.

The world’s biggest stars – not least in their own mirrors – flocked to Sunday night’s Golden Globes to show us all how woke, worthy and wonderful they are. And, of course, to attack their go-to punchbag President Trump.

Meat was even banned from their dinner tables to illustrate just how much these kind-hearted celebrities care about the environment.

‘See, we’re saving the planet!’ was the proud collective message, spoken by multi-millionaire actors and actresses who’d flown to Los Angeles in their private jets and been driven to the Beverly Hilton Hotel in stretch limousines.

Who cares about such massive gas-guzzling carbon footprints when they’re making the ultimate sacrifice of swapping their steaks for ‘vibrant chilled golden beet soup’, ‘King Oyster mushroom scallops risotto’ and a vegan opera dome dessert’?

But these selfless do-gooders left three hours later feeling abused, insulted, broken and shell-shocked thanks to a host who couldn’t give a damn about their hurt feelings.

Gervais’s opening monologue at last night’s Globes in Los Angeles only lasted seven minutes and 42 seconds.

But that was more than long enough for him to punch a gigantic crater in the absurdly two-faced PC-crazed balloon that infests modern Hollywood.

It was savage, brutal, vicious… and hilarious – exactly what that crowd needed, even if their shocked, frozen (and not just from all the Botox) faces suggested they’d just stumbled into hell on earth.

It was also what we all needed, which is why Gervais has been trending worldwide on Twitter ever since, to almost universal acclaim.

The reason his verbal assault resonated so powerfully is because it came just when many people, including me, feared the world had gone completely nuts – shamed, dragged and cancelled into supine submission by a staggeringly intolerant radical liberal mob intent on sucking every ounce of freedom and joy out of life.

Sanders’ ‘endless political discussion’ distracted the hippies from their work

Bernie Sanders was asked to leave a hippie commune in 1971 for “sitting around and talking” about politics instead of working, according to a forthcoming book.

We Are As Gods by Kate Daloz, scheduled for release April 26, chronicles the rise and fall of the Myrtle Hill Farm in northeast Vermont. Daloz, a Brooklyn writer, was in a special position to write a history of Myrtle Hill: she was raised near the commune in a geodesic dome residence with an outhouse called the Richard M. Nixon Memorial Hall. Her parents were close acquaintances of the commune residents, who offered them tips about wilderness living.

Sanders came to the farm while researching an article on natural childbirth for the Liberty Union’s party organ, Movement. Interest in alternative medicine was strong among members of the counterculture as part of their wider suspicion of modern science, which was associated with the sterility of hospitals and the destruction of war. “Many elements of Western medicine came under suspicion during this period, but none more so than modern obstetrics,” Deloz writes.

In Sanders’ article, previously digitized by Mother Jones, he criticized old methods of childrearing, where “infants were bottle fed on assembly line schedules designed by assembly line doctors in order to prepare them for assembly line society.” In Sanders’ view, natural childbirth was a step toward a more authentic society. “All of life is one and if we want to know, for example, how our nation can napalm children in Vietnam—AND NOT CARE—it is necessary to go well beyond ‘politics,’” he wrote.

Sanders’ prefatory remarks were followed by a Q&A between him and a friend, Loraine (spelled “Lorraine” in the article), who had recently given birth to a baby, Rahula (spelled “Rahoula” in the article), on the Myrtle Hill commune.

According to the forthcoming book, Sanders “gently peppered [the mother] with questions in his thick Brooklyn accent” about her experience with natural childbirth.

During labor, Loraine said she was surrounded by a circle of hippies chanting “a meditation mancha” that “seemed to really bring in good energy.” This group included “the couple of men who were potentially the baby’s father,” according to Deloz. When Rahula was delivered at dawn, “someone ran out into the field and blew a long blast on a hunting horn.” Loraine then ate her afterbirth, a detail that does not appear in the book, but that appeared in the second part of Sanders’ essay.

When not reporting on the miracle of life, Sanders spent his time at Myrtle Hill in “endless political discussion,” according to Deloz.

Sanders’ idle chatter did not endear him with some of the commune’s residents, who did the backbreaking labor of running the place. Daloz writes that one resident, Craig, “resented feeling like he had to pull others out of Bernie’s orbit if any work was going to get accomplished that day.”

Sanders was eventually asked to leave. “When Bernie had stayed for Myrtle’s allotted three days, Craig politely requested that he move on,” Daloz writes.
