This article is admittedly a little late, dating from March 11. But can one really put an expiration date on a video that shows a thug being perforated? I think not.
Raleigh Police Release Bodycam Video of Shooting at Center of Heated Protests
Police in Raleigh, North Carolina have released body-cam footage of a police-involved shooting that sent protesters into the streets earlier this week amid rumors that a “little boy” had been gunned down.
Ah, how quickly lies about police spread in certain areas.
In multiple YouTube videos posted Wednesday, Raleigh Police walked through the entirety of the foot chase and eventual shooting of 26-year-old Javier Torres. The department released the footage after pleading with residents “not to rush to judgment in this incident,” after a Facebook Live video claimed a boy holding a pizza had been the victim of the officer-involved shooting.
But that’s what they do! People of a certain culture ALWAYS rush to judgement. And almost without exception they’re “verdicts” are totally incorrect.
According to a video containing the body-cam footage, officers arrived to the scene after receiving calls of a man with a gun near a strip mall, and identifying a man who matched the description from the 911 call.
Torres can be seen in one of the videos running away from two different cop cars, holding a pizza box and with a dark object sticking out from his pants pocket—which police identify as a gun.
Why did he run? I can only assume that he was afraid the cops would take his pizza because certainly that “dark object” couldn’t possibly be a gun. At some point during the chase he abandons said pizza, hoping the cops might stop to eat a few slices, yet he continues running.
An officer is then seen chasing Torres on foot, along with a police vehicle that attempts get into Torres’ path.
“Drop the gun! drop the gun!” the officer yells as he runs after Torres. “Drop it right now! Drop the gun!”
The video then cuts to the body camera of another officer running towards Torres in the backyard of a white house. As Torres approaches the oncoming officer, the video slows down and shows a dark object in Torres’ hand as he runs from the officers behind him.
“Mr. Torres comes running directly at the officer with the gun in his right hand,” the video states.
Torres is then shot, but the video does not make it clear which officer shot Torres—the one approaching him from the front or one of the two officers chasing him from behind.
Who cares who shot him? At least they shot him. Hats off to whoever fired that round! Take a look and also note the shrieking and wailing in the background of an unjustifiably angry mob.
“I’m unarmed, I’m unarmed,” Torres is heard yelling while on the ground, with two officers surrounding him. He then wails in pain. “Ah, fuck!”
Yeah, now you are. You dropped the gun as you fell to the ground with a bullet in your gut. Big bad thug boy one moment, the next sniveling little bitch. Or to paraphrase Joe Pesci in ‘Casino’ after he stabs a man in the neck with a pen who then proceeds to whimper and cry, “Is that a little girl, Ace? Is that a little fuckin’ girl? What happened to the fuckin’ tough guy who was running from police with a gun in his hand?”
Footage is slowed-down again to show a dark object shaped like a gun lying in the grass not far from Torres and the other two officers.
“A dark object shaped like a gun.” I’d expect nothing more from the libtarded ‘Daily Beast.’ They’d never directly admit that police actually shot someone justifiably. It was and still is a gun. You can see it at 2:27 in the video. A typical thug gun with the gigantic extended mag. A gun which another, more trustworthy source states had been illegally altered. “Torres also faces a charge of altering or removing a gun’s serial number. Markham said this is typically done to make it harder to investigate a crime.
People typically alter or remove serial numbers when a gun has been stolen or when a gun was bought legally but is being used in criminal activity.”
Certainly Mr. Torres would never do such a thing! He looks like such a fine young man!
One or two officers are then seen staying by Torres’ side until emergency medical services arrive, with the video claiming that the officers were rendering aid at that point.
The videos posted on YouTube came after protesters reportedly burned flags and chanted that the police department was like the “KKK.” One person was arrested during the demonstrations.
Well, no. The KKK is the KKK. The police are the police. I didn’t see a white hood anywhere in this video. But, as per usual, any excuse to riot.
Regrettably, Torres was not killed in this incident and the most time he’s looking at is three years. So he’ll be out terrorizing the public again shortly. Hopefully his next encounter with law enforcement or with thugs like himself will be terminal.
