President Trump is doing such a great job combatting the coronavirus and his approval rating is so high that the fake news industry has to come up with something to attack him with. They tried drumming up hysteria that Trump was promoting the “unproven” antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine but that treatment ended up being very effective. With nothing else in their bag of tricks they have decide to claim the President knew about the coronavirus threat as far back as November 2019 and did nothing, thus causing thousands of deaths. Like everything else, this is another liberal media lie.
ABC dropped their fake news bombshell on Wednesday claiming that there was an intelligence report in November of last year raising concern that the coronavirus was a serious threat to the United States. Even worse, President Trump was allegedly briefed on this several times and ignored the information.
As far back as late November, U.S. intelligence officials were warning that a contagion was sweeping through China’s Wuhan region, changing the patterns of life and business and posing a threat to the population, according to four sources briefed on the secret reporting.
Concerns about what is now known to be the novel coronavirus pandemic were detailed in a November intelligence report by the military’s National Center for Medical Intelligence (NCMI), according to two officials familiar with the document’s contents.
The report was the result of analysis of wire and computer intercepts, coupled with satellite images. It raised alarms because an out-of-control disease would pose a serious threat to U.S. forces in Asia — forces that depend on the NCMI’s work. And it paints a picture of an American government that could have ramped up mitigation and containment efforts far earlier to prepare for a crisis poised to come home.
And of course they are claiming Trump knew:
From that warning in November, the sources described repeated briefings through December for policy-makers and decision-makers across the federal government as well as the National Security Council at the White House. All of that culminated with a detailed explanation of the problem that appeared in the President’s Daily Brief of intelligence matters in early January, the sources said.
At this point it is safe to assume when there is an unnamed intelligence source that it’s actually just California Rep. Adam Schiff. Another way we can tell this comes from Shifty is because it’s pure fiction designed to make President Trump look bad and impeachable.
Fox News reports that Col. R. Shane Day, the director of the National Center for Medical Intelligence has shot down ABC’s report as more liberal media fake news:
“As a matter of practice the National Center for Medical Intelligence does not comment publicly on specific intelligence matters. However, in the interest of transparency during this current public health crisis, we can confirm that media reporting about the existence/release of a National Center for Medical Intelligence Coronavirus-related product/assessment in November of 2019 is not correct. No such NCMI product exists,” said Col. Day.
This ABC report is bullshit, but we don’t even need the NCMI to know this. In November, China didn’t even know about the coronavirus threat and they’re the ones that unleashed this thing and then lied about. For any piece of intelligence to make it to the Presidential Daily Briefing, it has to be vetted for weeks by the various intelligence agencies. On top of which, it would have taken weeks before that for this intelligence to be gathered and analyzed.
Under ABC’s fake scenario, the NCMI would have discovered the coronavirus pandemic in October, which is before it even existed. If you are going to fake the news, at least fake it in a plausible way. They should have claimed that Trump knew about the coronavirus threat in December of 2019 because that would have been slightly more believable.
This is clearly the work of Adam Schiff who is obsessed with impeaching the duly-elected President of the United States. He has already announced plans to form a commission to investigate Present Trump’s handling of the coronavirus crisis. He obviously leaked this garbage intelligence information in hopes that he can bring articles of impeachment against Trump for allowing the coronavirus to spread in the U.S. causing untold death and suffering.
The biggest problem Schiff has, besides the fact that President Trump hasn’t done anything wrong, is that he’s really bad at faking misconduct. The Ukraine nothing burger he orchestrated was sloppy but this coronavirus lie is amateurish.
