NYC Has Formed A Coronavirus Anti-Discrimination Response Team

Via The Daily Caller

New York City, the focal point of the coronavirus crisis within the United States, has formed a task force to specifically handle coronavirus-related discrimination claims.

In light of hundreds of discrimination complaints based on COVID-19 fears, New York City’s Commission on Human Rights said it has formed a task force to process the reports, according to the Wall Street Journal. The commission can transfer a complaint to the NYPD Hate Crime Task Force if it determines the incident constitutes a hate crime.

“The response team came together because we saw that we had so many inquiries coming in after this pandemic started,” Sapna Raj, deputy commissioner of the commission’s law enforcement bureau, said to the Wall Street Journal.

“We realized we needed to respond rapidly to unique issues that New Yorkers were facing,” Raj continued.

What Will You Do If They Try To Extend COVID-19 Lockdowns Into Next Year?

Via Zero Hedge

We are seeing a massive backlash against the coronavirus lockdowns all over the United States, and it is likely that the protests against these lockdowns will only intensify in the days ahead.

But some elected officials are doubling down and are insisting that “shelter-in-place” orders will remain in effect in their jurisdictions for quite a few months to come. I honestly do not know how that is possibly going to work, because after just a few weeks millions upon millions of Americans have become deeply frustrated with these lockdowns. Trying to confine people to their homes for the foreseeable future is likely to spark tremendous explosions of anger, but that appears to be exactly what authorities intend to do in some of our largest urban areas.

For example, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio just told Fox News that he expects his city will be shut down until July or August

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio joined Bill Hemmer today on FOX News Channel.

The mayor told Hemmer he does not expect New York City to open until July or August.

Does he honestly believe that New York City residents will put up with being confined to their homes for another three or four months?

Over on the west coast, California Governor Gavin Newsom recently told the press that there probably will not be mass gatherings in his state “until we get to herd immunity and we get to a vaccine”

“The prospect of mass gatherings is negligible at best until we get to herd immunity and we get to a vaccine,” Newsom told reporters at his press briefing.

“Large-scale events that bring in hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands of strangers … [are] not in the cards based upon our current guidelines and current expectations,” he said.

It is exceedingly unlikely that we will get to the point of “herd immunity” in the United States this year, and most experts do not anticipate a vaccine until some time in 2021.

These lockdowns may be slowing down the spread of the virus to a certain extent, but they are also absolutely crushing economic activity.

Thousands of businesses have been either crippled or destroyed, and tens of millions of jobs have been lost in the United States alone.

Needless to say, business owners and workers all over the nation are sick and tired of not being able to make a living, and President Trump added fuel to their frustration when he called for several states to be “liberated” on Friday

President Trump made himself the star of the ‘lockdown rebellion’ on Friday by tweeting ‘LIBERATE Minnesota’ and then adding Michigan and Virginia to the list of states that should be freed.

The tweets came one day after the president’s coronavirus taskforce rolled out guidelines that would give governors broad power to decide when states’ economies would open back up amid the coronavirus pandemic.

And instead of waiting for permission, some business owners across the country have decided that they are going to reopen anyway

Summit Motorsports Park owner Bill Bader Jr. vowed to start holding events with or without government permission, in a Facebook live post earlier this week.

“I’m not asking, I’m opening,” he said in the video and said that he thought that business closures were an overreaction. “If in Huron County, for example, we are able to save every life and limit and ultimately mitigate any outbreaks of Covid-19, but in the process of that we all starve to death, what have we accomplished.”

As I have warned all along, Americans are simply not going to have much patience with these sorts of lockdowns, and this is particularly true in areas of the nation that tend to lean conservative.

“Papers, Please!” Fauci Agrees Gates’ “COVID Immunity Card” Idea “Has Merit”

Via Zero Hedge

Talks of COVID immunity cards have certainly been a hot subject in the last several weeks from high-ranking Western officials. It could be the means to reopen crashed economies seen across Europe and the US.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, America’s top infectious disease expert, told CNN “New Day” host Alisyn Camerota that people could soon carry ‘cards’ proving their immunity to COVID-19.

“Can you imagine a time where Americans carry certificates of immunity?” Camerota asked Fauci during an interview Friday.

“You know, that’s possible,” Fauci responded.

He continued, “This is something that’s being discussed. I think it might actually have some merit, under certain circumstances.”

The rollout of immunity cards would be dependent on the success of antibody testing, which could be unveiled in April:

“If their antibody test is positive, one can formulate strategies about whether or not they would be at risk or vulnerable to getting re-infected,” Fauci said.

We noted the proposal of immunity cards first appeared in Europe, with Germany, Italy, and the UK all calling for some form of documentation that would allow people who were immune to the disease to travel freely. Imagine stepping into an airport, and an official says, “papers please!” – while referring to a passport, you might also need your COVID immunity card.

Talk of these specialized health passports surfaced in American politics several weeks ago when House Democratic Caucus Chairman Mike Stewart called on Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee to implement an “Immunity Certificate” for first responders and healthcare professionals. Last week, Senator Bill Cassidy pitched the creation of an online registry that would help to identify who tested positive and negative.

And for more confirmation that immunity passports are going to be the next big thing in the Western world, or maybe across the globe. Here is Bill Gates on March 24, giving a 50-minute interview to Chris Anderson, the Curator of TED, the non-profit that runs the TED Talks.

Right at 34:14, Gates discussed how the future in a post-corona world would be. He said:

Eventually what we’ll have to have is certificates of who’s a recovered person, who’s a vaccinated person

…Because you don’t want people moving around the world where you’ll have some countries that won’t have it under control, sadly.

Police departments are using “gifted” Chinese drones to enforce social distancing rules

Via The National Pulse

The drones, ostensibly used by law enforcement for a hands-off way to police social distancing, are made by a Chinese firm which sends data back to the Chinese Communist Party.

The Daytona Beach Police Departments says the drones possess digital cameras and heat-detecting devices. These systems can detect body temperatures from 99 to 105 degrees.

A graphic from the manufacturer – DJI Innovations based in Shenzen, China – reveals 100 drones have been gifted to law enforcement and local authorities in recent weeks. They claim: “…we’re pleased to announce we are distributing 100 drones to 43 police, fire and public safety organizations in 22 states.”

Sergeant Tim Ehrenkaufer, who runs the Daytona Police drone unit, said in a statement: “If you have a 103 fever, that’ll come in handy letting us know at a glance: ‘Are you someone who possibly has the virus?’ ‘Do we need to make sure you have extra precautions?’”

The Elizabeth Police Department of New Jersey insists: “…we are just trying to save lives, not trying to be big brother.”

Intelligence officials, however, fear the drones do much more than just spread automated notices. They spread your data to the Chinese Communist Party, if it so chooses.

DJI Innovations – formerly Da Jiang Innovations Science – arguably leads the world’s market drone market, catching the attention of United States intelligence officials back in 2015.

Just a few years ago, a National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency employee drunkenly landed a DJI drone on the White House lawn.

Seriously.

The drone – a DJI “Phantom” – slipped past White House security. Following the incident, then-President Barack Obama told agencies to make sure that “these things aren’t dangerous and that they’re not violating people’s privacy.”

U.S. intelligence agencies have since grown increasingly concerned over the Chinese drones and the threat their widespread use poses to national security.

Seriously, why didn’t Bernie ever wear an American flag pin?

By Michael Tracey

Why didn’t Bernie Sanders ever wear an American flag pin?

No, affixing a small piece of patriotic metal to his coat lapel would not have single-handedly solved all the manifold problems that ultimately doomed Sanders’ five-year campaign for the presidency.

But it was one of many cost-free gestures that he declined to make in service of presenting himself as a palatable nominee to “mainstream” Democratic voters.

Despite the bountiful advantages Sanders had entering the 2020 primary race — universal name recognition, virtually unlimited funds, a nationwide organizing network, and strong runner-up status from the previous nominating contest — when all was said and done, he lost resoundingly to a relatively weak “establishment” candidate in Joe Biden.

For so many contemporary “progressives” — who, again, comprised the intellectual and organizing firmament for the Sanders campaign — the mere prospect of developing a “socialistic” rhetoric that also conveys love of country is utterly anathema.

Ironically, the previous iteration of the Sanders campaign had at least to some extent recognized the potency of this political formula. One of their most well-received productions from the 2016 cycle was the so-called “America” ad, which featured the classic Simon & Garfunkel song overlaying a montage of Sanders happily traversing his way through quintessential American landscapes.

Today, though — after four years of radicalization and polarization under Donald Trump — an increasingly obstinate “progressive left” seems perpetually aghast if one even dares to suggest that the American Flag or other generically patriotic symbols are not inherently fascistic. (I can personally attest to this.) It wasn’t so much that Bernie himself changed, as the ferocity of the activist milieu that comprised his movement’s orbit.

Consequently, the Sanders campaign circa 2020 gave the impression of being less animated by good old-fashioned Americana than the Sanders campaign circa 2016.

Tyrannical Governor Phil Murphy Bans Annual Drive Through Tulip Farm — Threatens to Arrest Farmer if ONE CAR Drives Through

Via Shore News

CREAM RIDGE, NJ – Governor Phil Murphy’s administration today shut down the drive-through tulip farm in Cream Ridge, but allowed the owners to continue selling their tulips to their customers for curbside pickup.

Owner Casey Jansen said his family owned farm makes about a one million dollar annual investment into planting tulips to operate the annual drive-through.  This week, he was relayed a message from Attorney General Gurbir Grewal, “No drive through allowed”.

“We planted all these tulip bulbs in the months of October and November. That’s when we make the investment, and my investment is just about a million dollars,” Jansen said in an interview with NJ.com.

Meanwhile, out in Gloucester County, the Dalton Farms tulip drive-through, which is booked solid through the weekend has given a pass by Murphy’s administration.

Jansen claims that he received a letter from the state threatening that two New Jersey State Police officers would be at his farm to arrest him if a single car drove through his field.
