When he’s not raping his staff or telling middle school girls they have nice boobs, Joe Biden likes to pretend he’s the women’s champion. He also likes to pretend that he’s sane, but both of these things are increasingly impossible to pull off. A judge ruled that the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team does not have a valid claim for equal pay so Crazy Joe has threatened to cut off federal funding for U.S. Soccer. The problem is, well one of the problems anyway, U.S. Soccer doesn’t receive federal funding.

Actually, Joe is threatening to cut off federal funding for the World Cup, which is an international for-profit tournament that definitely doesn’t get funding from the U.S. government. Let’s give Joe the benefit of the doubt and say he meant he would cut off funding for U.S. Soccer but even so, U.S. Soccer is not funded by the feds either.
Another way to look at this tweet is that Biden is threatening to cut off federal funding for U.S. Soccer to participate in the World Cup, which means he would deny even the women’s team the opportunity to play in the tournament. His message is: “Give the women’s team equal pay or nobody gets to play.” Luckily, he will never be president and wouldn’t have that power if he was.
Though factually-challenged, this threat is a pretty good example of quid pro quo, bribery, and extortion. Biden is saying a private entity must do something he wants them to do in order to get money from him. If this entity refuses, Biden says he will ruin them financially. Didn’t the democrats impeach Trump with a bogus claim that the President did this very thing?
This is already incredibly dumb but Biden wouldn’t be be Crazy Joe if it didn’t have another level of stupidity. There was actually a pretty good reason why a judge rejected the U.S. Women’s Team’s claim for equal pay, as CBS explains:
U.S. District Judge R Gary Klausner said he would not allow the equal pay allegations to go forward because the women’s national team previously “rejected an offer to be paid under the same pay-to-play structure” as the men’s national team.
“The WNT was willing to forgo higher bonuses for benefits, such as greater base compensation and the guarantee of a higher number of contracted players,” he wrote in the 32-page decision. “Accordingly, plaintiffs cannot now retroactively deem their CBA (collective bargaining agreement) worse than the MNT (men’s national team) CBA by reference to what they would have made had they been paid under the MNT’s pay-to-play terms structure when they themselves rejected such a structure.”
The women could have had the same deal as the men, and would have made more money because they are more successful, but they rejected that, opting for more guaranteed money and benefits. It’s an absolute lie that women soccer players are paid less than men.
