After the sham impeachment/coup attempt of president Trump, it is clear that democrats have no idea what “extortion” means. Luckily California’s governor Gavin Newsom has stepped up to show ‘em what it is. Newsome says he’s going to layoff cops and firefighters in the state unless the federal government gives him big sacks of money. On top of being an extortion attempt, it is a direct threat to the people of California. With that slicked-back hair and perma-smirk, he really is a bad guy from a cheesy 80’s movie.
CA Gov. @GavinNewsom says his state’s budget deficit is directly related to the coronavirus pandemic and federal funding should not be looked at as charity, “when it’s fundamental purpose of government is to protect people’s safety and to protect their well-being.” #CNNSOTU pic.twitter.com/9XpDngudxV

Newsom was on State of the Union with Jake Tapper bitching about how badly he has mismanaged the coronavirus by locking California down for 2 months and virtually eliminating any revenue from state taxation. For some reason, he’s under the impression that the federal government should pick up the bill.
“It’s a social responsibility at a time when states large and small [are] facing unprecedented budgetary stress. It is incumbent upon the federal government to support the states through this difficult time,” said Newsom.
And so what happens if the feds don’t airlift pallets of cash to the People’s Republic of California? Well…
“I hope they’ll consider this next time they want to salute and celebrate our first responders … consider the fact that they will be the first ones laid off by cities and counties,” Newsome said.
Newsom is referring to an Air Force flyover of the Thunderbirds to honor doctors and nurses, which cost nothing extra since these pilots train constantly. What difference does it make if they fly over the desert or Southern California? It’s still flying and it costs exactly the same.
So there it is: Newsom says if the feds don’t give him a bunch of money, first responders meaning cops and firefighters, will be laid off. That’s extortion and a threat to 40 million Californians.
Here’s a fair question: with California’s ridiculously bloated budget, why would they fire cops and firefighters first? Couldn’t they make up the money by defunding all of the generous freebies to illegal aliens first? If that doesn’t do it, they could take money from the billions they spend to house the homeless, even though they don’t house anyone. The point is, 75% of California’s budget is for bullshit, so why cut essential services first?
The answer to that question is because Gavin Newsome is trying to extort the federal government and threaten the hell out of California residents: “Give me some money or everyone is f*cked!”
Newsome tried to make this seem less like extortion by claiming that all states are in the same trouble California is.
“This is not a red issue or a blue issue. This is impacting every state in America,” Newsom said.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott sent this fun tweet to let him know that’s not true:

Is it weird how conservative states, that opened things back up, are doing fine and liberal states with draconian never-ending lockdowns are doing terribly?
California has racked up a $54 billion budget deficit. The state got $13 billion in coronavirus relief from the federal government and blew through it all in seconds. Just today California began implementing a $75 million giveaway to illegal aliens. It would be cool if anyone from the liberal media would question Newsom about the irresponsible way he wastes taxpayer dollars.
So yes, Gavin Newsome is a legitimate bad guy from a cheesy 80’s film. The good news is that the best way to beat a cheesy 80’s bad guy is with a breakdance contest. Surely there must be a patriotic breakdance crew out there that will step up and defeat this fascist mother*cker.
