NYT Celebrates 100,000 Coronavirus Deaths With Fake News

As the U.S. coronavirus death toll nears 100,000, the Resistance media is giddy with excitement because they think it’s a direct attack on President Trump, but also because they are horrible. The New York Times is celebrating this arbitrary milestone by printing the names of 1,000 people who died from COVID-19 on their front page. There’s just one problem: the names are random people who died and not necessarily from the coronavirus.

Under the headline “U.S. Deaths Near 100,000, An Incalculable Loss” the NYT printed out the names of people they say died from coronavirus.

“Instead of the articles, photographs or graphics that normally appear on the front page of The New York Times, on Sunday, there is just a list: a long, solemn list of people whose lives were lost to the coronavirus pandemic,” wrote the Times.

As the death toll from Covid-19 in the United States approaches 100,000, a number expected to be reached in the coming days, editors at The Times have been planning how to mark the grim milestone. Simone Landon, assistant editor of the Graphics desk, wanted to represent the number in a way that conveyed both the vastness and the variety of lives lost.

“We knew we were approaching this milestone. We knew that there should be some way to try to reckon with that number,” said Landon.

Unfortunately, they were reckoning that murder victims were killed by the coronavirus. The 6th name on the list is Jordan Driver Haynes, 27, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who is described as “a generous young man with a delightful grin.”

Another description of Jordan D. Haynes, 27, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa is murder victim. KHAK reports:

[UPDATED 3/20 11 a.m.] The Cedar Rapids Police Department says a man found in a vehicle along I-380 last week was murdered.

According to a media release, an autopsy on 27-year-old Jordan Haynes ruled his death was a homicide. No other information has been released as there is an active investigation in the case.

Maybe there are 2 27-year-old guys named Jordan D. Haynes who both died: one from murder and the other from coronavirus. A more likely explanation however is that the NYT is full of shit and threw a bunch of dead people’s names together to in a sad partisan fake news attempt to knock President Trump down a peg.

Keep in mind that this name came sixth on the list. How many other names are bogus? They had nearly 100,000 coronavirus victims to pick from and after only 5, they messed up.

The NYT could have simply listed 1,000 nursing home victims who died because NY Governor Andrew Cuomo forced the facilities to take coronavirus-infected patients. Cuomo literally signed the death warrant for over 5,000 elderly New Yorkers, but the liberal media isn’t much interested in that story. Instead they want you to think President Trump killed 100,000 Americans, including a guy who was murdered in Iowa.

This fake news episode also brings up a serious question: How accurate are these coronavirus death totals? Are they counting people who died of other things but also had the coronavirus? Are they including everyone who died from the flu or respiratory illness?

Since it is clearly the goal of liberals to keep this country locked down and the economy in the crapper until the November election, how reliable are the numbers they are using to extend the lockdown? What are the chances that liberals are full of shit on everything else, but honest about coronavirus deaths?
