Monday Morning Breakfast For The Brain

Good morning Deplorables, how many Americans will bend the knee when the mob comes for them?

Barack Obama’s Insurrection Evangelism

Via American Greatness

Repent of your “white privilege” as protesters make you “feel uncomfortable” while they “seize the moment.” Any sinner could be forgiven for thinking they are trying to seize a lot more than “the moment.”

ormer President Obama addressed the nation in a virtual town hall on Wednesday. It was classic stuff, best regarded as a sermon.

“In a lot of ways, what has happened over the last several weeks is that challenges and structural problems here in the United States have been thrown into high relief,” the former president said. “They are the outcomes not just of the immediate moments in time, but they are the result of a long history of slavery and Jim Crow and redlining and institutionalized racism that too often have been the plague, the original sin, of our society.”

The “original sin” is the racism now “institutionalized” in the United States, so by extension, the whole nation is guilty and irredeemably evil. Individuals of pale skin shade, whatever they have done or not done in their lives, are pronounced guilty of “white privilege.” As the former president said, the task is to make such sinners feel “uncomfortable.”

The currently raging “protesters” invite the sinners to kneel, confess their white privilege, and repent with an open apology. This self-humiliating ritual, however, does not absolve them of physical punishment, such as theft of their property, the burning of their business, or worse. To adopt Jonathan Edwards, these are sinners in the hands of an angry god, but with nobody to die for their sins.

The sinners have to pay and the inquisitors get full absolution. In his sermon, the former president failed to condemn arson, assault, theft, and crimes such as the murder of police officers. In the catechism of the insurrection, those acts help pay for the original sin of structural racism. But before they take a knee, sinners might recall a couple of things.

Slavery existed from time immemorial and was practiced in Africa centuries before any person of no color set foot there. The United States abolished slavery more than 150 years ago, and the ancestors of countless Americans arrived after the Civil War. The Civil Rights Act, affirmative action, and a two-term African American president might call into question the “institutionalized racism” charge. But, of course, racism and racists still exist.

Entire NFL Team Shakes A Fist At America: ‘If You Ain’t With Us, You Against Us’

By Chris Donaldson/Trending Politics

The National Football League is about to find out whether suggesting that a huge portion of its fan base may be racists is a successful marketing strategy.

With the country descending into mayhem over the death of George Floyd, the unarmed black man who was killed by a vicious thug cop, the NFL has once again sided with militants as it did when it allowed kneeling during the national anthem in 2017.

The fallout from the disrespect for the flag, police and militaryexpressed by disciples of the former NFL quarterback turned social justice messiah Colin Kaepernick hit the league hard resulting in empty seats, plunging TV ratings and damage to sponsors.

Eventually, the NFL found a way back to sanity after alienating millions of loyal fans but is once again surrendering control to the mob that is shaking its angry clenched fist at America.

And leading the way is the Denver Broncos with nearly the entire team turning out to Saturday’s anti-Trump protests in the Mile High City wearing black shirts with the slogan ‘If you ain’t with us, you against us’ which is hardly an endorsement of the reasonable debate needed at this time of unprecedented unrest.

Via ESPN, “Broncos players, coach Vic Fangio help lead protest march through Denver”:

More than 70 players, coaches and other staff personnel from the Denver Broncos — most wearing black T-shirts that read “If You Ain’t With Us, You Against Us” — led a group of thousands through downtown Denver during a Black Lives Matter protest Saturday.

Many of the group from the Broncos, which included CEO Joe Ellis, coach Vic Fangio and his coaching staff, also were wearing masks that had “I can’t breathe” printed on them.

Linebacker Jeremiah Attaochu, linebacker Von Miller and safety Justin Simmons were among the players who briefly spoke to the crowd in a downtown park to start the march.

“We’re out here as players … to be an agent of change with policy and really taking part in the way this country works,” said Attaochu, who was the first of the players to speak to the crowd. “And that’s the only way we’re going to fix things — is if we use our voices to speak out on policies and things that are not allowing our people to be successful to have a chance in life. We can’t keep putting a Band-Aid on an old wound.”

Once among the league’s most successful franchises, the Broncos have descended into an era of futility not seen in the Rocky Mountain Region since Richard M. Nixon was in the White House.

The architect of the decline is iconic former quarterback John Elway who as the general manager and president of football operations has overseen the team’s plunge.

Elway supported his team’s insertion into toxic racial and social politics.

The Broncos have long had one of the NFL’s most loyal and die-hard fan bases and have sold out stadiums for decades but how many of those fans are going to continue spend their money on spoiled millionaires spouting divisive slogans?

And how many of those who they are appeasing with their support of the mob will have the ability to shell out the necessary cash to replace the soon to be former season ticket holders?

While there were none of the other 31 teams joined that up with the mob in such a brazen manner, the Broncos’ stance is an ominous signal for the NFL which is headed for a turbulent season that will make 2017 look minor once the backlash arrives.

Here Are The Companies That Support Antifa, Black Lives Matter, and Want You Dead

Via Medium

Hi! This is a list of all of the “woke” companies (and brands) that are supporting violent protests across the United States. Despite the chaos, destruction, and deaths, “woke” companies across the country have still come out in support of #BlackLivesMatter, Antifa terrorists, and general criminals.

Please consider using this list to guide in what businesses you wish to support. Please also consider using this list the next time someone makes the argument that we are living in a white supremacist country with institutionalized racism. If major companies consider supporting violent rioters and looters good for their bottom line, your cause isn’t oppressed.

To keep this list from becoming unwieldy, I’m only including one statement per company. Many of these companies have issued multiple statements in support of the insurrection across the country, some even fighting in the comments section with fans, but it’s overwhelming as it is.

*A note on some of the comments I’ve received: quite a few of the statements are generic “racism is bad” statements. That is true. However, these companies would not be coming out with any public statements about racism, and especially not any public statements declaring “Black Lives Matter,” if not for the current riots occurring now all around the world. The timing is not a mere coincidence. Therefore, when a company posts that it is in “solidarity” with the black community now, the company actually means solidarity with the riots.

The Lockdowns Are Now Intentional Cruelty

Via The Federalist

The lockdowns have been wrongheaded for some time, now they are simply cruel.

When histories of the coronavirus crisis are written fair authors will admit right off the bat that the unique nature of the crisis and the lies coming from Communist China and its dancing monkey the World Health Organization put our government on all levels at a serious disadvantage. Mistakes were made, expert opinions shifted and that is all completely understandable. What is not understandable is what is happening now.

It is not understandable that while tens of thousands, maybe even hundreds of thousands throng streets in our cities, families may not mourn their dead in funeral services. I lost my father to cancer last fall. Of late it has occurred to me that had he held on just a few months longer I might not have been able to visit him in his final days, or gather with those who loved him after his passing.

According to Giambattista Vico, an 18th century polymath writer, the word human is rooted in the Latin “Humando,” which means to bury. In an etymological sense, to be human is to bury our dead, not to simply move on as most animals do, but to linger, remember, and celebrate the continuity of our species. To deny Americans their right to perform the acts of mourning that are their namesake while social distancing is mocked in protest is nothing short of cruel.

And it isn’t just funerals. Everyday family businesses are dying, people are being flung into despair and addiction. This has all been true for months of course, but there was a deadly Chinese virus afoot. We all had to make these sacrifices to save lives. Now as “scientists” sign letters saying, actually mass gatherings to fight racism are fine, we know it has all been a horrible lie for some time.

Those who waived away the human cost of the lockdowns as insignificant compared to the deadly power of the virus now suddenly understand the concept of competing legitimate interests. And fine, it’s maddening they couldn’t conceive of this before it became about racism, but it is what it is, we are where we are. And where we are is a place where for leaders like New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio to deny people the right to gather is a mendacious cruelty nobody should abide.

These clowns are saving face at the expense of enormous suffering. Time and again they have been wrong during this crisis, but never so much as today. There is no justification for banning funerals, weddings, baby showers, or baptisms. And notice a trend here. What is being denied are all of the activities associated with family and faith. A cynic might suggest that the Left is well aware that these two institutions are the Bulwark against their socialist agenda.

Elmer Fudd will not have a gun in ‘Looney Tunes’ reboot

Via The Hill

In a new series based on the beloved “Looney Tunes” cartoons, the classic character Elmer Fudd will no longer carry a gun.

The new series “Looney Tunes Cartoons,” which premiered last week on the streaming service HBO Max, will feature the cartoon’s characteristic violence – using sticks of dynamite, booby traps and the iconic anvils and bank safes dropped onto characters, The New York Times reported last week.

However, Peter Browngardt, the series executive producer and showrunner, told the outlet, “We’re not doing guns.”

“But we can do cartoony violence — TNT, the Acme stuff. All that was kind of grandfathered in,” Browngardt told the outlet.

Elmer Fudd is regularly foiled trying to hunt Bugs Bunny on the show. In the new series, the character will carry a scythe.

However, comics artist Johnny Ryan, who worked on the show, noted to the Times that he believes “We’re going through this wave of anti-bullying, everybody needs to be friends, everybody needs to get along.”

Let the Book Burning Begin! NPR Pushes ‘Decolonizing’ Book Shelves

Via Breitbart News

National Public Radio (NPR) posted a tweet Saturday urging every reader to begin “decolonizing your bookshelf.”

According to NPR, “white voices have dominated what has been considered canon for eons.” The public broadcaster advises fans to begin “decolonizing your bookshelf” by removing the works of white authors.

NPR tweeted:

NPR suggests that “decolonizing your bookshelf” is about “about actively resisting and casting aside the colonialist ideas of narrative, storytelling, and literature that have pervaded the American psyche for so long.”

They posit:

If you are white, take a moment to examine your bookshelf. What do you see? What books and authors have you allowed to influence your worldview, and how you process the issues of racism and prejudice toward the disenfranchised? Have you considered that, if you identify as white and read only the work of white authors, you are in some ways listening to an extension of your own voice on repeat? While the details and depth of experience may differ, white voices have dominated what has been considered canon for eons.

Former KGB Agent Yuri Bezmenov Explains Our Four Stages – “The New Normal”…

By Sundance/The Conservative Treehouse

You’ll never get a clue what’s being done to, and within, this country from the complicit “mainstream” media. But a KGB expert who defected to the good guys was explaining it for us back in the 80s. Yuri Bezmenov tried to warn us:

Stage One: Demoralization – Elimination of American Exceptionalism, fundamental change of national identity, structural deconstruction of foundational principles, elimination of religion. Embedding a new societal design upon the psyche of generations through ideological academia. Peer pressure by elites upon academics and society to convince that prior values were inherently flawed, racist, prejudiced etc. National identity is diluted with aspersions toward historical references. National history is re-written, re-defined, and molded to fit the new intended behavioral model and create the new values.

Stage Two: Crisis – Creation of economic, financial, and national security crisis. Also includes social crisis and breakdown of previous self-evident restrictions on moral behavior. Cloward Piven approach to overloading the system, ie more takers than producers. The crisis produces benevolent leaders who will promise to deliver “things” (Hope and Change) to meet people’s needs through Social and Economic Justice. False illusions that the situation is under control if certain strategic directions are followed (Bailouts, Stimulus, Jobs Bills, Regulations of industry, Unconstitutional Power Grabs, Dismissal of Historical Laws, Changes in legislative processes, Changes in checks and balances of power etc).

Stage Three: Normalization – The uncomfortable feelings of change including losses of freedom are absorbed and accepted. Lost national identity becomes accepted as the norm within the new societal model. A period of national rebranding transition where people are so overwhelmed by the change they become numb and begin to accept a ‘new normal’. This period of normalization lasts indefinitely as the progression is continually advanced and acceptance takes place in small controlled doses. (New limits on behavior, Regulations, TSA Patdowns, Intrusions into privacy, Controls into daily life) These things begin to be accepted as “just the way it is now”..

Stage Four: Destabilization – Unlike the period of “Crisis” the people who helped orchestrate the change are now no longer needed. The new overarching centralized governmental model begins to take control. Leftist usurpers who initially thought they were going to be part of the new power structure begin to realize they were used and manipulated and they themselves become the new enemy. Because they have first hand knowledge of the agenda they are the primary target for elimination. They may simply be disregarded, obfuscated, thrown out, or they may be collected, imprisoned, or worse killed. There is no longer room for dissention. Dissent is only possible within the free system that has now been deconstructed. Therefore the leftist purpose is served once the destabilization is complete. Totalitarian Government takes control…

One cannot be intellectually honest and look at this video and the summary of the Four Stages Bezmenov has outlined and not see distinct and similar, albeit creepy, parallels to today. Granted the historical examples he presents in the video (Cambodia, Vietnam, Germany, USSR, Poland, etc) are extreme in their Stage Four result, or are they?

Perhaps a reasonable person would argue that elimination of economic capacity (to live freely) is just as restrictive as living inside a walled camp. If you cannot live freely, earn a living freely, move about without restrictions, and determine for yourself your choices, then what really is the difference between being thrown in an internment camp and having the invisible chain link fence of diminished freedom built around your home?

If government can control your income through taxation, employment and redistribution; tell you what to eat by deciding your choices for you; tell you how much energy you are allowed to consume through rules and regulation; tell you what kind of car you can be allowed to drive; tell you what type of toilet you can buy; tell you what kind of detergent you may wash with; determine what information you have access to through the TV media and internet access; and then control your capacity to receive the healthcare of your choice; then really what is the difference between living in a collective camp under such rules and living where you are now but following the same rules ?

I would argue that we are solidly in the middle of stage #3 (normalization) while all around us Stage Four (destabilization) is beginning, perhaps as planned. We talk about the new “ism’s” all the time. Heck, most of what we discuss is our reluctance to engage in acceptance of the “normalization” and our seeming frustration to be able to influence “it” to stop presenting us with new acceptance challenges.

What say you?
