Cops Confiscate Gun From Couple Who Defended Themselves Against Angry Mob

This is pretty messed up. About a week ago an angry mob busted through a gate and invaded a private gated community in St. Louis. Homeowners in that community armed themselves to protect against the horde of racial grievance mongers. The couple had every right to defend their property and showed restraint by not firing at the angry threatening crowd, but they are white, so obviously they’re racist. Police just showed up at their house and confiscated one of the guns without making an arrest or filing any charges.

Mark and Patricia McCloskey own a home in a gated community in St. Louis called Portland Place. On June 28 they were enjoying dinner when an angry mob of up to 500 people busted down the gate to their community. The McCloskeys told the unruly mob they were trespassing and asked them to leave. Instead, the “peaceful” protesters threatened the couple and some even brandished firearms. The McCloskeys called the police who refused to intervene and then armed themselves to protect their property and lives.

Because this was a Black Lives Matter Protest and the McCloskeys are white, liberal outrage ensued.

CNN reports:

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department told CNN it is investigating the incident. Circuit Attorney for the city Kimberly M. Gardner told CNN in a statement that she was alarmed by the events and her office is investigating.

“We must protect the right to peacefully protest, and any attempt to chill it through intimidation or threat of deadly force will not be tolerated,” she said in her statement. “Make no mistake: we will not tolerate the use of force against those exercising their First Amendment rights, and will use the full power of Missouri law to hold people accountable.”

Is there a 1st Amendment right to destroy private property, trespass, and threaten people? Apparently so and it even exceeds the right to keep and bear arms or the right to self-defense.

KSDK reports:

5 On Your Side has learned St. Louis police officers executed a search warrant Friday evening at the home of Mark and Patricia McCloskey, the Central West end couple who confronted protesters with weapons in June.

Sources tell 5 On Your Side that police seized one of the weapons, the rifle, from the couple and they told police their attorney has the pistol seen in photos.

And here’s the most f*cked up part about this:

5 On Your Side is not aware of any charges against the McCloskeys at this time, and the warrant served Friday evening was just for the guns.

Let’s review the facts of the case: The McCloskys were on their own property in a private gated community. Scumbags broke through a gate and threatened the McCloskeys. Missouri has a castle doctrine which says people have the right to defend themselves and their property with deadly force. The McCloskeys legally own these guns and shot nobody. Even if they had opened fire, it was well within their right to do so.

Where the hell is the crime? No seriously, what asshole judge signed the warrant to allow police to confiscate guns from people who committed no crime? The fact that the police made no arrests and simply took a rile shows how completely bogus this entire thing is.

For the record, the cops never showed up until well after the angry mob had left. They made exactly zero arrests for the the property destruction, trespassing, and threats.

If that had been me, the front yard would have been littered with dead losers.

There’s been a lot of stupidity to come from the George Floyd riots, but this tops them all. The local DA has determined that homeowners defending themselves against an angry mob when police refused to help is racist. While not an actual a crime, the DA decided that legally owned firearms must be confiscated.

The McCloskeys own a law firm, which presumably means they are lawyers, so hopefully they sue the shit out of the city for violating most of their Constitutional rights.
