Trump Remains the Only Man in Washington to See the Danger
Via American Greatness
Now he is duty-bound, for the sake of his presidency and of our beloved country, to confront it.
Donald Trump is still the only man in Washington who understands that America is in trouble and the nature of the trouble it is in.
We were reminded of this during his moving speech at Mount Rushmore, in which he honored our greatest of all statesmen while calling on Americans to defend—without apology—our home, our people, our heritage, and our principles.
Most importantly, Trump put his finger squarely on the designs of the revolutionaries seeking to destroy our Republic, replace the equal protection of the law with arbitrary privilege, and transform America into a despotism “completely alien” to a nation founded in liberty:
Our nation is witnessing a merciless campaign to wipe out our history, defame our heroes, erase our values, and indoctrinate our children. Angry mobs are trying to tear down statues of our founders, deface our most sacred memorials, and unleash a wave of violent crime in our cities. Many of these people have no idea why they’re doing this, but some know what they are doing. They think the American people are weak and soft and submissive, but no, the American people are strong and proud and they will not allow our country and all of its values, history, and culture to be taken from them.
Trump’s address aspired to statesman-like nobility that is unusual in our time. He said nothing less than what we were feeling in our hearts, but these are things our leaders have been unable or unwilling to express.
Whether Trump has a comprehensive understanding of the historic threat facing our Republic and his role in defending it is less important than what he actually does. In acknowledging the central crisis of our time with bravery and candor as he did in that speech, Trump did more to advance the interests of the American people than the Republican Party has done in 50 years of policymaking.
The Establishment Is Complicit
This has been Trump’s greatest virtue from the start. Since the rot runs so deep in our elite, it takes someone from outside the “club,” someone like Trump, to talk plainly to the American people about genuine threats posed to us from them against our safety and happiness.
It takes courage to resist the prevailing mood of any time, and the mood of this time is one of racialized hysteria and ritual shame, of moral lassitude, tending towards national suicide. Those who dare to contradict the spirit of deranged cruelty that animates the soul of the Left or the cowed silence of the majority on the Right can expect swift punishment from a vicious and unforgiving mob. A climate of fear and submission has made public enemies out of private citizens, prison guards and sentries out of neighbors, and villains out of America’s heroes.
Against this madness, America’s leaders are utterly helpless, if not complicit in the terror. The institutions that form their character and inform their interests have created a class of timid, selfish bureaucrats, people who are more attached to their personal fortunes than to America. If they aren’t burning the country down themselves, they seem to be fine with letting it happen on their watch.
Either Republicans and Conservatism, Inc. still do not understand this, or they don’t care.
Trump is an enigma in his own right, but in circumstances such as these, his singular character is essential despite his sometimes confused manner of governing or application. He has uncommon courage, a brutal frankness, and sharp instincts—all qualities that make him a natural enemy of sophisticated liars and traitors who seek to undermine our country in the pursuit of power and status.
This is why they hate him. He cuts through the pretentious sophisms by which we are enjoined to order our lives with common sense and the American heart. He richly mocks pompous TV hosts and airbrushed politicians, but he never expresses the kind of fashionable contempt for ordinary Americans that our betters do. On the contrary, it is obvious that Trump loves America and Americans with a “deplorable” and natural affinity.
Our so-called elites never talk about the crisis of the Republic because they don’t care about the country they are eager to steward—indeed they seem to hate it.
If they ever do acknowledge real problems, it is through a filter of deception. They will insist that the encroachments we sense are delusions, that to notice them is “dark and divisive.” The real problem, they say, is that America is a bad and racist country. With this falsehood, they justify all manner of enormities. Organized destruction, they call “protest,” and racialized mob justice they give the name of social justice. Dopes in the Republican Party, worried principally about maintaining their seats and satisfying their donor class which only cares about tax cuts and special favors promoting their own interests, play along.
Indeed, it is difficult to say just what the Republican Party’s reason for existing is at this point, when its leaders can’t be trusted to defend their voters, let alone the country.

America, You’ve Been Blacklisted: McCarthyism Refashioned for a New Age
By John W. Whitehead
For those old enough to have lived through the McCarthy era, there is a whiff of something in the air that reeks of the heightened paranoia, finger-pointing, fear-mongering, totalitarian tactics that were hallmarks of the 1950s.
Back then, it was the government—spearheaded by Senator Joseph McCarthy and the House Un-American Activities Committee—working in tandem with private corporations and individuals to blacklist Americans suspected of being communist sympathizers.
By the time the witch hunts carried out by federal and state investigative agencies drew to a close, thousands of individuals (the vast majority of them innocent any crime whatsoever) had been accused of communist ties, investigated, subpoenaed and blacklisted. Regarded as bad risks, the accused were blacklisted, and struggled to secure employment. The witch hunt ruined careers, resulting in suicides, and tightened immigration to exclude alleged subversives.
Seventy years later, the vitriol, fear-mongering and knee-jerk intolerance associated with McCarthy’s tactics are once again being deployed in a free-for-all attack by those on both the political Left and Right against anyone who, in daring to think for themselves, subscribes to ideas or beliefs that run counter to the government’s or mainstream thought.
It doesn’t even seem to matter what the issue is anymore (racism, Confederate monuments, Donald Trump, COVID-19, etc.): modern-day activists are busily tearing down monuments, demonizing historic figures, boycotting corporations for perceived political transgressions, and using their bully pulpit to terrorize the rest of the country into kowtowing to their demands.
All the while, the American police state continues to march inexorably forward.
This is how fascism, which silences all dissenting views, prevails.
The silence is becoming deafening.
After years of fighting in and out of the courts to keep their 87-year-old name, the NFL’s Washington Redskins have bowed to public pressure and will change their name and team logo to avoid causing offense. The new name, not yet announced, aims to honor both the military and Native Americans.
Eleanor Holmes Norton, a delegate to the House of Representatives who supports the name change, believes the team’s move “reflects the present climate of intolerance to names, statues, figments of our past that are racist in nature or otherwise imply racism [and] are no longer tolerated.”
Present climate of intolerance, indeed.
Yet it wasn’t a heightened racial conscience that caused the Redskins to change their brand. It was the money. The team caved after its corporate sponsors including FedEx, PepsiCo, Nike and Bank of America threatened to pull their funding.
So much for that U.S. Supreme Court victory preventing the government from censoring trademarked names it considers distasteful or scandalous.
Who needs a government censor when the American people are already doing such a great job at censoring themselves and each other, right?
Now there’s a push underway to boycott Goya Foods after its CEO, Robert Unanue, praised President Trump during a press conference to announce Goya’s donation of a million cans of Goya chickpeas and a million other food products to American food banks as part of the president’s Hispanic Prosperity Initiative.
Mind you, Unanue—whose grandfather emigrated to the U.S. from Spain—also praised the Obamas when they were in office, but that kind of equanimity doesn’t carry much weight in this climate of intolerance.
Not to be outdone, the censors are also taking aim at To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel about Atticus Finch, a white lawyer in the Jim Crow South who defends a black man falsely accused of rape. Sixty years after its debut, the book remains a powerful testament to moral courage in the face of racial bigotry and systemic injustice, told from the point of view of a child growing up in the South, but that’s not enough for the censors. They want to axe the book—along with The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn—from school reading curriculums because of the presence of racial slurs that could make students feel “humiliated or marginalized.”
Never mind that the N-word makes a regular appearance in hip-hop songs. The prevailing attitude seems to be that it’s okay to use the N-word as long as the person saying the word is not white. Rapper Kendrick Lamar “would like white America to let black people exclusively have the word.”
Talk about a double standard.
This is also the overlooked part of how oppression becomes systemic: it comes about as a result of a combined effort between the populace, the corporations and the government.

24-year-old White Mother Killed by BLM Thugs — Mainstream Media Silent
Via The New American
The mainstream media in the United States has almost completely ignored the story of 24-year-old Jessica Doty-Whitaker, who was shot in the head and killed by Black Lives Matter supporters in Indianapolis on July 5. What had young Ms. Whitaker done to incur the wrath of the “largely peaceful” BLM supporters? Allegedly, she was heard uttering the phrase “All Lives Matter” to a group of BLM supporters who, apparently, disagreed with her.
On July 5, Doty-Whitaker and her fiancé, Jose Ramirez, were strolling with friends along the Indianapolis Canal Walk after a Fourth of July celebration when she and her friends ran into the BLM group. Allegedly, the BLM group heard someone in Doty-Whitaker’s group utter a racially-charged word — a slang term that supposedly means roughly the same as the “N-word.” The BLM supporters took umbrage and confronted Doty-Whitaker’s group. An argument ensued, and both sides drew firearms. When the two groups realized that the other was armed, the situation deescalated — seemingly. It was reported that the groups fist-bumped and separated.
But minutes later, Ramirez reported that a member of the BLM group opened fire from a nearby bridge, striking Doty-Whitaker in the head and killing her. Ramirez admitted to returning fire but says he didn’t hit anyone.
“[The situation] was squashed and they went up the hill and left, but they were sitting up on St. Clair waiting for us to come under the bridge and that’s when she got shot,” Ramirez said.
The victim leaves behind a three-year-old son who doesn’t understand where his mother is.
“She shouldn’t have lost her life. She’s got a three-year-old son she loved dearly,” Ramirez said. “It’s hard to tell him his mom is in heaven and if you want to talk to her you have to look up and say, ‘I love you mom.’”
The victim’s father, Robert Doty, said that the confrontation occurred when the BLM group said, “Black Lives Matter,” to Doty-Whitaker’s group and that the young mother responded, “All Lives Matter.”
“An argument started and guns came out, but they worked things out. Unfortunately, they didn’t drop it and waited for them to walk back through and she was shot in the head,” Doty told The Gateway Pundit.
Surveillance video shows a group running away from the bridge area at the exact time when Doty-Whitaker was shot.

Illinois Costco shopper spits in man’s face for removing mask while exiting store: police
Via Fox News
‘I am a schoolteacher and I have COVID-19,’ she allegedly told man
A woman who claimed to be a teacher assaulted a man and spat in his face when he took his mask off while exiting a Costco store in Illinois, police said.
Elizabeth Mach, 45, allegedly approached a 50-year-old man after he removed his face covering while leaving a Costco store in Mettawa in Lake County, on June 16, the Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday.
Police said Mach slammed her shopping cart into the stranger and told him to put his mask back on because he hadn’t fully exited the store.
“I am a schoolteacher and I have COVID-19,” Mach allegedly told him, before taking her mask off and spitting in the man’s face, police said. She left the store, but was later identified by police, who arrested her on Wednesday.
Mach was charged with battery and disorderly conduct and released later that day after posting 10 percent of the $40,000 bond imposed by the judge, police said. She is due back in court on July 29. It is unclear if she did actually have COVID-19.

PORTLAND, OR—Hank Drake owns a woodworking shop on the outskirts of Portland, Hank’s Planks. But Drake is in danger of losing everything now that he was caught committing a hate crime: painting over a BLM mural lovingly painted on his storefront by peaceful protesters last week.
Horrified witnesses say the man callously took a roller and painted right over the beautifully spray-painted mural on his business. The police were called and arrived immediately since they weren’t busy fighting Antifa and protecting local businesses or anything like that.
Drake said he was just “cleaning up vandalism,” which is a well-known racist dog whistle.
“What can we do against such reckless hate?” asked the judge at Drake’s arraignment. “Will the whole courtroom join me in a moment of staring at this evil man and just silently judging him for being such a hateful individual?”
After the moment of silence, she shouted, “Shame! Shame! Shame!”
Drake was sentenced to 8 weeks at a reeducation center and was ordered to pay reparations to the graffiti artist whose work he had vandalized.
