Seattle got most of the press for being occupied by Antifa terrorists, but Portland, Oregon has been at he mercy of these scumbags for years. There has been a sustained riot for nearly 2 straight months in the liberal city and the federal courthouse is currently under siege. As U.S. Marshal have been trying to protect what the Portland PD will not, one very plump Antifa loser attacked them with a hammer. Don’t worry, the liberals in charge made sure this “peaceful” protester got out of jail as quickly as possible.
First a little background. Antifa is trying to set up a Seattle-style “CHOP” occupied zone around the federal courthouse in Portland. They’ve erected barricades and have several times tried to torch the building. Acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf has reached out to Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler to offer federal help in getting his city under control. Like the true liberal douche he is, he rejected help in the bitchiest way possible:
Today the Acting Secretary of Homeland Security asked to speak with me about demonstration activity in Portland. He expressed his concern about ongoing violence and asked how his agency can help.

I told the Acting Secretary that my biggest immediate concern is the violence federal officers brought to our streets in recent days, and the life-threatening tactics his agents use. We do not need or want their help.

The best thing they can do is stay inside their building, or leave Portland altogether. Our goal is to end these violent demonstrations quickly and safely. And in the meantime, I asked him to clean up the graffiti on local federal facilities.

That fat f*ck with a hammer is 23-year-old Michael Gaines. Reports are that he’s from Texas but lives in a van down by the river in Portland, so he’s leftist Chris Farley.
This is a statement for the Oregon U.S. Attorney:
According to court documents, at approximately 1:00am on July 11, 2020, Gaines was observed using a hammer to damage a barricaded entrance at the Hatfield Federal Courthouse. At the time, federal law enforcement personnel were staged inside the courthouse to protect the facility and respond to incidents. Law enforcement attempted to exit the courthouse to prevent Gaines from breaching the barricaded entrance.
While attempting to detain him, Gaines struck a U.S. Marshals Service deputy three times with the hammer. The deputy deflected the blows to prevent serious injury, but in process was struck in the left shoulder, lower neck, and upper back. While being struck, the deputy managed to hold onto Gaines while other officers handcuffed him and placed him under arrest.
Gaines was charged with assaulting a federal officer and a local liberal judge promptly released him back onto the street.
Also meanwhile on the streets in Portland, the current crop of George Floyd riots that have been raging for 2 months have cost local business in excess of $23 million.
“The city of Portland has been under siege for 47 straight days by a violent mob while local political leaders refuse to restore order to protect their city. Each night, lawless anarchists destroy and desecrate property, including the federal courthouse, and attack the brave law enforcement officers protecting it,” said Acting Homeland Security Secretary Wolf.
Wolf also released a timeline of all the destruction Antifa has done, which is a good read if you have the time. It’s quite long.
Once again, democrats have proven they have no business being in charge of anything. If the people of Portland won’t vote Ted Wheeler out of office, the deserve the constant state of chaos and danger they live in.
