The democrats are holding their convention in Milwaukee next month to give the party’s nomination to blathering old fool. The democrats are also firmly supporting the anti-American rioters tearing up cities from coast-to-coast. Wouldn’t it be neat if they could find a way to bring these two things together? They just might as police agencies are pulling out of an agreement to provide security for the DNC. My guess is, they will be much less supportive of street terrorists when they trash their convention and set Biden’s adult diapers on fire.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports:
At least four Wisconsin police departments have withdrawn from agreements to send personnel to next month’s Democratic National Convention, some of them citing orders to Milwaukee’s police chief to cease the use of tear gas and pepper spray during demonstrations.
The moves by police departments in Fond du Lac, Franklin, Greendale and West Allis cast doubt on a program to bring about 1,000 police officers from outside agencies to help shore up security for the event, scheduled for the week of Aug 17.
See, Milwaukee is one of those liberal cities that has caved to the unreasonable demands from unreasonable rioters and has banned the use of tear gas and pepper spray. For some reason, police officers don’t feel like being handcuffed as violent protesters assault them.
“We believe in removing those tools, the use of chemical irritants or pepper spray, from the available resources that the law enforcement officers would have at their disposal if protests become non-peaceful would severely compromise the safety of the public and also the safety of the law enforcement officers who would be assigned to protect the DNC,” said Fond du Lac Police Chief William Lamb.
“Our concern is that in the event protests turn non-peaceful, such a policy would remove tools from officers that may otherwise be legal and justifiable to utilize in specific situations,” said West Allis Deputy Chief Robert Fletcher.
“It is apparent there is a lack of commitment to provide the Milwaukee Police Department with the resources it needs to ensure the safety of peaceful protesters, attendees, citizens and police personnel. I can not send personnel if they are not properly equipped or will not be allowed to engage in appropriate actions which would ensure their safety,” said Franklin Police Chief Rick Oliva.
…Greendale Police Chief Ryan Rosenow echoed Oliva’s message and said he would no longer be sending officers to assist.
While the news seems focused on these four police departments, it turns out there are many more that are refusing to send officers to Milwaukee to defend the DNC.
Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales told reporters, “that more than 100 law enforcement agencies had backed out of agreements with the city for security at the convention.”
New Jersey was also slated to send 55 Sate Patrol officers but has since backed out of that commitment.
These cops are citing the “no pepper spray” rules as the reason for pulling out but there could be another factor. Democrats have sided with the Black Lives Matter protesters and Antifa terrorists against the police. Why would any cop want to go to Milwaukee to protect a bunch of people that think police are racist and should be defunded? The fact that they’d be sitting ducks for the violence is just icing on the cake.
It shouldn’t matter that the DNC can’t find any cops willing to protect them. For months democrats have said these violent riots are “peaceful protests” of people expressing their 1st Amendment rights. Why would the democrats be scared of a peaceful protest of their convention?
