Not only is Oprah Winfrey a billionaire, she is also one of the most powerful people in the entertainment industry. It must however be an illusion because she was bitching and complaining that poor dirt farmers from Bumf*ck, Oklahoma have an advantage over her because they are white. I’m sure there are plenty of people who would trade their whiteness for her blackness and billions, even if it also meant taking on her morbid obesity and those eyes that are uncomfortably far apart.
Oprah has something on Apple TV+ called “The Oprah Conversation” which is apparently a series on “whiteness.” In a recent episode, she had on former NFL player Emmanuel Acho (Gesundheit) who himself hosts an Internet talkshow called “Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man.” With neither of these two being white, the whiteness series needed some whites so they found a really pathetic self-hating liberal one.
“As white people, even the poorest of the poor, I feel still has a leg up,” said pathetic white girl #1.
“And the leg up is what I was saying, you still have your whiteness. That’s what the term ‘white privilege’ is. It means that whiteness still gives you an advantage, no matter what,” said Oprah.
Huge, if true. There is one thing I don’t quite understand however: if all white people are more advantaged that all black people, how come Oprah is a billionaire and most white people aren’t? If her theory were true, every white person would be richer and more powerful than her and they are not.
I’m white and not a billionaire and I guarantee that if Oprah and I were competing for anything, she’d have the advantage. If we were both bidding on the glove that Michael Jackson wore when he molested children, she’d win that auction because she has more financial resources than me. If we were both waiting for a table at Stuckey’s, they’d give it to her first because I’m not famous.
Sure, I could beat her in a foot race but that’s not due to my whiteness, it’s because I’m in better shape than Jabba the Hutt.
Elsewhere in this crapfest, Oprah doubled down on the white privilege/systemic racism thang:
“There are white people who are not as powerful as the system of white people — the caste system that’s been put in place — but they still, no matter where they are on the rung, or the ladder of success, they still have their whiteness,” Oprah said.
Again, if there is a racial caste system in the United States, how did Oprah, a black women, break out of it and become filthy sinking rich? There is no upward mobility in a caste system. If you were born poor, you’ll die poor. Period.
In reality what Oprah is saying is that being white is what makes white people racist. If the system is racist and run by white people and whiteness is an inborn advantage, then she’s saying all white people are inherently racist.
Rich liberals complaining that they got it bad or that they are victims is one of the most bullshit things about rich liberals. If it sucks to be fabulously wealthy, give all your money away. I’ll take it.
