The coach of the artist formerly known as the Washington Redskins has found the single worst take on disrespecting America. Ron Rivera of the Washington Football team says he respects Colin Kaepernick’s hatred of this country and will honor him and Black Lives Matter by standing during the National Anthem but kneeling for the coin toss. Presumably he will be protesting loose change and/or tiddlywinks.
Ron Rivera did an interview with NBC sports. He explained that signing some player who I can’t figure out who he’s talking about helped him understand why Colin Kaepernick started disrespecting American by kneeling during the National Anthem.

“He helped me understand what Colin Kaepernick’s protest was really about. Now I could never knew because of family background I just believe that I shouldn’t,” said Rivera.
He certainly has a way with words, doesn’t he? I’m sure when he’s coaching he makes much more sense to his players. As for interviews, this is how he is:
“But it helped me appreciate the message they’re trying to get out,” said Rivera.
The host then asked, “So what’s your message to the team now?”
“My message is that I will respect your right. I will respect your 1st Amendment right and if that’s what you’re going to do during the National Anthem, so be it but I will stand,” Rivera said.
But that’s not all, Rivera has a solid social justice plan:
“There’s a couple of things I’m going to do. One is we’re going to be allowed to have some sort of political statement on our hats about Black Lives Matter. I’m going to put the initials “J.L” for John Lewis. That way when people ask me why, I just say, ‘because he was an advocate for voter’s rights,’” said Rivera.
As if that wasn’t underwhelming enough, Rivera has a two-pronged approach to defeating racism:
“I will do that and I will kneel during the coin toss,” said Rivera.
At that point, the host who is black, let out a little chuckle as if to say, “white people.”
“One thing I don’t want is the message to be distorted when it comes to, ‘oh, he kneeled during the anthem’ okay? So I’m going to make sure my message that I have will be during the coin toss,” said Rivera.
This guy has got to be a Joe Biden supporter because he’s as incoherent and inarticulate as the democratic party candidate for president.
One major thing that Rivera left out was, what his actual message is by kneeling during the coin toss. Is he saying “f*ck commemorative coins” or “flipping things can kiss my white ass?” I’m at a loss for what protesting a coin toss could be.
“For anybody that disagrees with me, well I’m sorry, but it, I, I, my life,” Rivera finished.
Who’s going to disagree with him knelling during a coin toss? In order for someone to disagree, they would first have to understand it.
Since Rivera is going for a full-nonsense approach to social justice, when they announce the team captains he could put his hands up to his head to make moose antlers. When the game’s officials are announced, maybe he could stand on one leg and do the “crane” like the Karate Kid. During every commercial break he should do jumping jacks with sparklers in his hands. Racism doesn’t stand a chance.
And you thought the the Redskins changing their name to “football team” was stupid.
