Seattle Seahawks Coach Says Americans Need To Be ‘Coached Up’ About Racism

The NFL thinks that its fans are racists, that message should be loud and clear by now.

With the season opener less than two weeks away, the NFL is about to find out whether suggesting that millions of its own fans may be racists is a good idea.

Following the explosion of rioting after the video of unarmed black man George Floyd being kneeled on by a Minneapolis cop, the NFL decided that it would reenter the realm of divisive racial politics.

Just when fans had returned after the debacle of the 2017 season when kneeling during the playing of the national anthem resulted in empty stadium seats and cratering TV ratings, the league has doubled down.

Millionaire players and coaches have repeatedly lectured fans about racism while insisting that the kneeling during the Star-Spangled Banner isn’t about the flag at all and that anyone who believes otherwise just might be a racist.

The latest to sanctimoniously wag his finger at patriotic fans is Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll who apparently believes that white people are just plain dumb and need to be educated about America’s racist history or as he puts it – “real” history.

Carroll made his remarks in a team-sanctioned social media video that was posted on Twitter and called for white people to be “coached up” on how to treat blacks.

Via the team’s official website:

“(White people) need to be coached up and they need to be educated about what the heck is going on in the world,” Carroll said. “Black people can’t scream anymore, they can’t march any more, they can’t bear their souls anymore to what they’ve lived with for hundreds of years because white guys came over from Europe and started a new country with a great idea and great ideals and wrote down great writings and laws and all of that about democracy and freedom and equality for all. And then that’s not what happened, because we went down this road here and followed economics—rich white guys making money—and they put together a system of slavery, and we’ve never left it, really. It has never gone away.

“And Black people know the truth, they know exactly what’s going on. It’s white people who don’t know. It’s not that they’re not telling us; they’ve been telling us the stories. We know what’s right and what’s wrong, we just have not been open to listen to it. We’ve been unwilling to accept the real history. We’ve been taught a false history of what happened in this country, we’ve been basing things on false premises, and it has not been about equality for all, it has not been about freedom for all, it has not been opportunity for all, and it needs to be. This is a humanity issue we’re dealing with. This is a white people’s issue to get over and learn what’s going on and to figure it out and start loving everybody that is part of our country, and that want to our country, wherever they want to come from.”

Coach Carroll’s cultural elitist lecture may go over well in the socialist utopia of Seattle where a statue of communist icon Vladimir I. Lenin has been spared from the wrath of the mob and where the CHAZ/CHOP was able to exist in the middle of the city, but it is unlikely to go over well in middle America and other areas where fans value patriotism.

Not that anyone should listen to anything from a guy who is too dumb to call a run from the one-yard line with the Super Bowl on the line.

Typical liberal arrogance that will have long-term ramifications on a sport that really isn’t about the actual game anymore and who will be tuning out in droves rather than be subjected to such horseshit from rich elitist white assholes like Pete Carroll.

FUCK THE NFL!
