Far-left rag The Atlantic has reluctantly endorsed Joe Biden for President. They didn’t want to but according to them, Trump is a mentally unstable man who has been credible accused of rape. Do they even know who Joe Biden is? I know liberal “journalists” aren’t big on research and fact-checking, but if they are going to issue an endorsement, they should at least spend a couple of minutes on Google. What they find out about Crazy Joe may surprise them.
The Atlantic started their endorsement off by reeling off this list of false liberal media narratives about President Trump:
What we have learned since we published that editorial is that we understated our case. Donald Trump is the worst president this country has seen since Andrew Johnson, or perhaps James Buchanan, or perhaps ever. Trump has brought our country low; he has divided our people; he has pitted race against race; he has corrupted our democracy; he has shown contempt for American ideals; he has made cruelty a sacrament; he has provided comfort to propagators of hate; he has abandoned America’s allies; he has aligned himself with dictators; he has encouraged terrorism and mob violence; he has undermined the agencies and departments of government; he has despoiled the environment; he has opposed free speech; he has lied frenetically and evangelized for conspiracism; he has stolen children from their parents; he has made himself an advocate of a hostile foreign power; and he has failed to protect America from a ravaging virus. Trump is not responsible for all of the 220,000 COVID-19-related deaths in America. But through his avarice and ignorance and negligence and titanic incompetence, he has allowed tens of thousands of Americans to suffer and die, many alone, all needlessly. With each passing day, his presidency reaps more death.
Not one thing there is even remotely true but fake news gonna fake.
In any case, based on this laundry list of lies, The Atlantic has come to this conclusion:
But let us lay all of this aside for the moment. Let us even lay aside the extraordinary fact that Donald Trump has been credibly accused of rape. Compelling evidence suggests that his countless sins and defects are rooted in mental instability, pathological narcissism, and profound moral and cognitive impairment.
Trump’s opponent, Joe Biden, is in many ways a typically imperfect candidate, but if we judge these men on two questions alone—Who is a more trustworthy steward of America’s nuclear arsenal? Which man poses less of a threat to our collective existence?—the answer is spectacularly obvious.
In addition to having no idea who Joe Biden is, The Atlantic doesn’t know the meaning of “obvious.” The standard they set for this endorsement is that one candidate is a crazy rapist and the other is not.
Well, Trump hasn’t been credibly accused of rape. A handful of liberal democratic party operatives have leveled unsubstantiated claims of rape and sexual harassment against President Trump. These women have no corroborating evidence and their motives are highly suspect.
Joe Biden, on the other hand, has been accused of sexually assault his former staffer, Tara Reade, who is a life-long democrat and someone who looked up to Creepy Joe. Her story has a ton of corroborating evidence and her motivation is clearly not political. This is on top of Biden’s decades of documented inappropriate touching and sniffing of women and young children.
The Atlantic is also fuzzy on the meaning of “credibly accused.”
As for the mental instability and cognitive impairment, I double-dog dare The Atlantic editorial staff to watch any unscripted video of Joe Biden this campaign cycle. The man is a loon and his mind is shot. There’s a pretty good reason why his handlers have been hiding him in a basement bunker and only allowing pre-approved interviews with friendly media outlets.
Maybe the funniest thing about this endorsement is that The Atlantic is basically saying: “Joe Biden is really awful, but we’re endorsing him anyway because we hate Trump.” Like most endorsements for Joe, this one is lukewarm at best.
But hey, The Atlantic says don’t vote for the crazy rapist, so cast your ballots for Trump!
