Yesterday the heads of social media testified before the Senate claiming they have no bias against conservatives, completely forgetting that lying under oath is a felony. Fresh from the debacle in banning The NY Post for breaking the Hunter Biden laptop story, Twitter has suspended U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Commissioner Mark Morgan’s account because he made the astute observation that border walls do in fact help keep criminal scumbags from sneaking into this country. Facts are now hateful according to Twitter.
The Federalist reports that CBP Chief Morgan sent out this factual tweet:
“@CPB & USACEHQ continue to build new wall every day. Every mile helps us stop gang members, murderers, sexual predators, and drugs from entering our country. It’s a fact, walls work,” wrote Morgan.
When Morgan tried to log into his Twitter account, he found that it had been locked and got this explanation:
“You may not promote violence against, threaten, or harass other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease,” Twitter wrote.
Where in the hell is the threat in Morgan’s tweet? He doesn’t promote violence or harass anyone from any of those groups. He doesn’t even disparage gang members, murderers, or sexual predators, he just mentions that walls are effective at keeping them out. Like I said, Twitter now considers facts to be hateful. Well, facts that liberals don’t like anyway.
In fact:
“If you look at the tweet in question again, every mile helps us stop gang members, murderers, and pedophiles from entering our country. It’s just a fact,” Morgan told The Federalist.
And Morgan has a theory as to why Twitter suspended his account:
“I’m sure somebody on that Twitter team has heard that everyone that illegally enters are just good people looking for a better way of life. The American people ultimately don’t get to hear the truth because someone at Twitter, based on their own ideology, pushed a button to prevent the truth from coming out,” said Morgan.
To be clear, Twitter does allow Louis Farrakhan and Iran to tweet things about wiping out the Jews. They also allowed the former prime minister of Malaysia to tweet that Muslims have a right to kill everyone n France. Somehow those are not hateful enough to even get a warning sticker like they put on innocuous tweets from President Trump and conservative media outlets.
Yesterday, during his testimony, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey was asked why he allowed anti-Semitic tweets calling for the destruction of Israel and all Jews from the Ayatollah Khamenei.
“We did not find those to violate our terms of service because we considered them ‘saber rattling,’ which is part of the speech of world leaders in concert with other countries,” said Dorsey.
That’s interesting because CBP Chief Morgan is part of President Trump’s (a world leader) administration and it was regards to a border wall between the U.S. and Mexico (another country). Why isn’t Morgan’s tweet considered “saber rattling” but the Ayatollah’s “death to Israel” tweets are?
Also in yesterday’s hearing, the big tech CEOs were asked if they could name one liberal person or organization that they have blocked, suspended or otherwise censored. They could not.
