In the GOP Version of the Alamo, Nobody Dies Fighting

Weak-kneed Republicans who choose to wave the white flag instead of fighting to the last man to challenge the fraud that occurred in the 2020 election are committing political suicide.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) took to the floor of the United States Senate last week to officially recognize Joe Biden as president-elect. McConnell was sending a message to his Republican colleagues: stand down, it is time to move on.

As I watched McConnell congratulate Biden on his supposed victory, I thought of the scene in “Star Wars” when Obi-Wan Kenobi says, “I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror . . . ” Having witnessed firsthand the passion on display at President Trump’s rallies and boat parades, I knew how McConnell’s concession would antagonize Trump supporters. My notion was confirmed the following day, when multiple strangers aired their grievances to me on the streets of the Sunshine State.

The first was a marble fabricator from Port St. Lucie, who told me he fled socialism abroad only to watch in horror as American Democrats embraced it. Next was a CVS cashier in Jupiter, followed by a fishmonger in North Palm Beach, a restaurant manager from Hobe Sound, a waitress in Ponte Vedra, and finally a gift shop owner and a hotel bellman in Jacksonville Beach.

I knew none of these people, nor did I solicit their opinions. They volunteered their frustrations to me only because I was wearing a cap from Trump National Golf Club. Their collective sentiments are best summarized in the words of two callers to Rush Limbaugh that same day.

“If we step past what has just happened in this presidential election as if nothing happened … what will be left other than one gigantic, pretend game of politics?” asked “Robbie” from Sacramento. “What is the point of discussing any future election if we don’t deal with what has just happened?

“If we don’t deal with what just happened,” Robbie went on, “we are just going to be playing one gigantic game of pretend. Pretending our votes mean something. Pretending that we can influence what’s going to happen in our elections . . . Mark Steyn [said] ‘This is the hill to die on,’ and I think we have to stand up against tyranny or we’re going to be living with it.”

Next came “Frank” from Los Garros. “I’m one of those 74 million-plus that is fit to be tied,” he told Limbaugh. “I am so tired of the GOP. They are the most worthless party probably in history . . . They don’t do anything! They sit on their hands and don’t do anything! It’s like they just watch . . . Why wouldn’t [the Democrats] try to steal the election?”

“Let me paint this picture about how I feel about the GOP,” Frank added. “You have a husband and wife and a daughter, the husband rapes the daughter every other night, and the wife knows and does nothing about it. The wife is the Republican Party.”

Controversial Bill Gates-funded plan to dim the sun’s rays moves forward quietly

A bizarre-sounding plan to save Earth funded by tech guru Bill Gates is “quietly” moving forward.

The plan — to dim the sun’s rays and their impact on the earth — is reportedly all in the name of helping to revitalize the environment and thus save the human race.

What are the details?
The billionaire philanthropist is set on saving the Earth no matter the cost.

“While you may have been paying attention to [Gates’] efforts on vaccination and lockdowns, you may not have noticed that one of Gates’ most controversial causes just got a go-ahead: A project that would help block out the sun,” the Western Journal’s Douglas Golden wrote.

Reuters reported that the geo-engineering plan — a Harvard University project funded largely by Gates— “plans to test out a controversial theory that global warming can be stopped by spraying particles into the atmosphere that would reflect the sun’s rays.”

The news organization reported that the Swedish Space Corporation has already taken strides in testing out the theory.

“Open-air research into spraying tiny, sun-reflecting particles into the stratosphere, to offset global warming, has been stalled for years by controversies — including that it could discharge needed cuts in greenhouse gas emissions,” Reuters reported. “In a small step, the Swedish Space Corporation agreed this week to help Harvard researchers launch a balloon near the Arctic town of Kiruna next June. It would carry a gondola with 600 kg of scientific equipment 20 km (12 miles) high.”

Golden also cited journal Nature, which broke the plan down into more easily comprehensible terms.

“The idea is simple: spray a bunch of particles into the stratosphere, and they will cool the planet by reflecting some of the Sun’s rays back into space,” Nature’s Jeff Tollefson wrote in 2018. “Scientists have already witnessed the principle in action.”

“When Mount Pinatubo erupted in the Philippines in 1991, it injected an estimated 20 million tonnes of sulfur dioxide into the stratosphere — the atmospheric layer that stretches from about 10 to 50 kilometres above Earth’s surface,” Tollefson added. “The eruption created a haze of sulfate particles that cooled the planet by around 0.5 °C. For about 18 months, Earth’s average temperature returned to what it was before the arrival of the steam engine.”

Reuters reported that the plan could move forward in the “autumn of 2021 or spring of 2022,” and would “release a tiny amount … of non-toxic calcium carbonate dust into the atmosphere” to test the theory.

Dark Money Behemoth That Hosts BLM Foundation Received $16 Million in Government Grants

The dark money network that houses the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation received nearly $16 million in taxpayer-funded grants last year, financial filings reveal.

The Tides Center, a California-based nonprofit incubator, reported the government grants on its 2019 tax forms. It operates by acting as a fiscal sponsor to several left-wing nonprofits, including the BLM Global Network Foundation, which has advocated for abolishing the nuclear family and defunding the police. This arrangement lets the nonprofits avoid disclosing their financial activity, and thus makes it difficult to know where the taxpayer-funded cash ultimately ends up.

The center’s 2019 windfall adds to the $170 million it has received in government grants since 2001—grants that have drawn criticism from nonprofit watchdogs. Scott Walter, president of the Capital Research Center, has called Tides as “liberal and politically active as they come” and questioned whether American tax dollars should be awarded to groups housed at such networks.

The new filings show that the center took in $155 million in anonymous contributions on top of the $16 million in government grants it received in 2019, a $34 million increase over its 2018 totals. It also cut nearly $20 million in grants to outside groups, including the Leadership Counsel for Justice and Accountability and the New Venture Fund, a separate nonprofit incubator that is part of a $715 million secret money network managed by Arabella Advisors.

The Tides Center was launched in 1996 as an offshoot of the Tides Foundation. It has incubated numerous social justice, environmental, gun-control, and abortion-rights groups. George Soros’s Open Society Foundations, the Ford Foundation, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, and the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation have all pushed funding through the network.

The Tides Center did not respond to a request for comment.

2020 Proves What Happens on Campus Does Not Stay on Campus

The Las Vegas marketing slogan “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” meant to convey the hope that whatever you did during your stopover in “Sin City” would remain secret to friends and family. Equally, many assumed that the racialized theories that developed in the academy in the 20th century would stay within the cloistered walls of campus.

Neither turned out to be true in real life. The effects of overdoses, sexually transmitted diseases, unwanted pregnancies, and gambling losses are carried back to Seattle, Albuquerque, and Boston, and hurt the lives of your loved ones there. Just as equally, the excesses of critical race theory have left the ivory towers and hit the streets of America with a vengeance.

Just witness what happened in America in 2020, when the death of George Floyd led to months of mayhem, caused by individuals whose warped view of their own country had been clearly molded by the teachings of critical race theory.

The academic James Lindsay traces the point when critical race theory thinking finally finds expression in the streets of America back to the killing of the African American 18-year-old Michael Brown in August 2014 by a policeman in Ferguson, Missouri.

“Brown’s death mainstreamed Black Lives Matter and, in many respects, many of the core claims and assumptions of critical race theory throughout 2015 and 2016,” writes Lindsay. “Its fundamental claim was that America was systemically racist and that this could be seen most clearly in the American police, criminal justice, and penal systems … These beliefs are central to the core assumption of critical race theory that ‘counterstories’ and narratives are more important than facts and truth where systemic racism (and other systemic oppression) is concerned.”

The Black Lives Matter organizations had a direct impact on the violence Americans saw consume their cities in 2020. A September report from the U.S. Crisis Monitor, which has ties to Princeton University, revealed that Black Lives Matter activists were involved in 95% of the riots between June and September for which the identity of the perpetrator was known.

None of this was happenstance. Critical race theory may have been an academic set of beliefs, and woolly ones at that, but from the start its practitioners intended for it to have real-life consequences, whether those outside the academy knew it or not.

Congress Finally Reaches Stimulus Agreement: Every American Will Receive A Coupon For $5 Off At Applebee’s

WASHINGTON, D.C.—In a historic compromise, the Senate and U.S. House of Representatives have finally settled on a stimulus package for Americans struggling and out of work. In addition to bailouts, money for pet projects, and payouts to unions, Congress has authorized a very special $5 off coupon to Applebee’s.

“We are proud to have come together for the American people,” said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. “I am told that all those ditch diggers and plumbers in the Midwest are crazy about Applebee’s! Won’t this hit the spot after a long day of doing whatever it is you people do for a living? You’re welcome!”

Some critics of the plan have suggested that giving Americans a coupon after forcing them to shut down their businesses for 9 months feels like a slap in the face. In response, Representative AOC said: “Well, we wanted the stimulus payments to be eleventy-billion dollars for every person, but the evil Republicans didn’t allow it!”

According to AOC, there is a silver lining in spite of the disappointing legislation. “This is a great opportunity for Americans to try sex work!” she said. “Who needs a small business when you can just open an OnlyFans account?”

In a press release, Applebee’s thanked the Government for its support. “We are looking forward to serving all Americans at our fine dining establishments! Please note that the promotion expires on January 20th and we can only allow 3 patrons in our dining rooms at all times. We’ll see you soon!”
