As a democrat Muslim immigrant woman of color, Muslim Rep. Ilhan Omar enjoys several levels of protection against criticism, no matter how fair it may be. She is so skilled at working the victim clauses of liberalism that when people directly quote her, it is considered misogynist Islamophobic hate crime. She tested her leftist forcefield again today by comparing Republicans to baboons and then crying racism, insisting people were calling her a monkey.
Omar started out comparing Ted Cruz and Republicans who plan to challenge the Electoral College vote to baboons:
“Baboons do not go far from the place of their birth.” Maasai proverb https://t.co/6pedtij0BT
— Ilhan Omar (@IlhanMN) January 3, 2021
It’s unclear how this applies to the Republican fight for an accurate election result, but Omar didn’t get on AOC’s Loon Squad by being a witty genius. The replies however were pretty funny. Most people pointed out the double-standard at play:
That’s an irresponsible tweet. What if the tweet was the other way around?

Wow. If Senator Cruz posted that same stupid proverb to you, there would be screams of racism. Shameful behavior

Beyond the pale comment from #Omar.
Can you just imagine her reaction if someone had made a comment like that about her?

While others went with this:
“Never trust someone that marries her brother”.
Maasai proverb

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 17 Surah Isra verse 32: Do not even go near zina (fornication and/or adultery), for it is a very indecent thing and a very evil way….oh this must not apply to u..

Ilhan Omar likes to stay within the family for marriage.
— Sean Antrim (@sean_antrim) January 3, 2021
“Don’t marry your brother”, AMERICAN proverb.
— U.S.A. Patriot (@TimPerr18557733) January 3, 2021
How’s your husband-brother doing?
— Tyler Schadegg (@tylerschadegg) January 3, 2021
But do they marry their brothers?
— President-Elect BadgerFool (@BadgerFool) January 3, 2021
As you can see, people resisted the “baboon” bait and went with an incest thing, but Omar insisted that everyone was calling her a monkey. Then, she doubled-down on her double-standard GOP/baboon comparison. Hey, is that what a liberal double-double is?
The amount of people in the comments upset they can’t call me “monkey” is truly disturbing.
This proverb is basically about how people revert back to their origins regardless of how far they go.
Republicans are reverting back to their #JimCrow tactics, we see it for what it is. https://t.co/ecosthBXWS
— Ilhan Omar (@IlhanMN) January 3, 2021
There were no replies calling her a monkey, let alone replies of people complaining that they can’t call her a monkey, but that’s hardly the biggest problem with this tweet.
Omar should crack a history book once in a while and see which political party was responsible for implementing Jim Crow segregation laws. I’ll spare her the suspense and let her know that it wasn’t the Republicans. It was democrats all the way. The same party that fought to preserve slavery and the same party that filibustered the Civil Rights Act. It was Ilhan Omar’s party that had Jim Crow tactics.
Also, how in the hell does Jim Crow and baboons have anything to do with an attempt to preserve the integrity of a presidential election?
The only thing I can figure here is that Omar is sick of AOC getting all the attention for her idiocy and is trying to out-stupid her. It’s a start, but Omar will have to up her game if she wants to knock off the queen.
