AOC Wasn’t Even In The Capitol Building When She ‘Almost Died’ During the Capitol Riots

Yesterday Def-Con News told you how dimwit Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claimed she almost died during the Capitol protests/riots/insurrection on January 6. It was a really funny lie, but we missed one seriously hilarious detail: she wasn’t actually in the Capitol building at the time she claims her life almost ended at the hands of protesters who were in the Capitol building.

While protesters breached the Capitol building, AOC says she hid in her office when someone who turned out to be a Capitol Police officer knocked on her door.

“And this was the moment where I thought everything was over…. I thought I was going to die,” said Ocasio-Cortez.

There’s just one problem with AOC’s brush with death: her office is not in the Capitol building and protesters never got anywhere close to her location.

And here are some fun maps to show just how far away AOC was from the danger:

While there is a tunnel connecting the Cannon Building to the Capitol, protesters never made it that far as confirmed by Rep. Nancy Mace:

Because AOC was clearly lying about nearly being killed by the angry mob, #AlexandriaOcasioSmollett is trending on Twitter in honor of another famous grievance liar.

Busted in her lie, AOC apologized and promised to be more honest in the future. Just kidding, she got super-defensive and blamed everyone for being afraid of an empowered woman of color:

So her near death experience that never happened is actually worse than she lied about? Why didn’t she embellish her story to reflect that complete load of bullshit? She should have said Ted Cruz smashed a hole through her office door with and ax and said, “Here’s Teddy!”

This hardly qualifies as breaking news, but AOC is a lying sack of crap, who portrays herself as a victim. It’s possible that maybe she isn’t quite the empowered woman of color she claims to be if she is constantly victimized like this.
