COVID Relief or Pork Fest?

Elections have consequences, particularly when they’re stolen. This Bill does little for COVID relief. It is nothing more than a Democrat spending spree poorly disguised as relief for the people and businesses of this country, as reported on Conservative Daily News.

We do not have the money to fund this $1.9 TRILLION price tag but the opportunity was there for the Democrats and they seized it. They are more greedy than smart and the Republicans alone can do nothing to stop them.

Only 9% of these funds are earmarked for COVID relief, the other 91% is for a collection of projects, domestic and foreign, and the list will seem like a parody.

No urgency for these funds!

The way the Dems are talking, this money is needed now to get the country back on track. Wrong….very little of the funds will be spent this year…..except for pork projects. This is criminal and that is not hyperbole. They are stealing your money for their projects.

The claim that schools are not open because of lack of funds is simply a lie. There is over $600M allocated in the last Relief Bill directed to education that has yet to be spent. Only 5% of the funds in this package for K-12 will be spent this year…..is that urgency?

Here is a list of just some of the projects, with no connection to COVID, that will be using your grand children’s money.

  1. $270M for Arts and Humanities Endowment,
  2. $200M for museums and libraries,
  3. $100M for Silicon Valley Underground Railway,
  4. $50M for Family Planning,
  5. Raising the Federal Minimum Wage to $15.00,
  6. Expansion of Medicare and Obamacare to include coverage for Aliens,
  7. Multiemployer Pension Plan Bailout,
  8. $100M to bailout Blue State budget shortfalls,
  9. $852M for AmeriCorps, AmeriCorps Vista, and the National Senior Service Corps,
  10. $50B to FEMA to fund funerals for COVID victims and
  11. $1.5B for Amtrak.

What say you Def-Con News readers? Disheartening, yes? Sickening, perhaps? The Democrats are using this money to pay for favors, pander for votes. They have the votes in Congress to get this done, and there is nothing the Republicans can do to stop them. Except perhaps to challenge some of these expenditures in court. But don’t hold your breath waiting for the judiciary to decide in favor of common sense. Not now in America, anyway. There is one other possibility, though. Republican politicians must make every effort to educate the voters about what is happening. Educated voters may pay dividends in 2022 with the GOP winning control of the House and Senate.
